Ha! That's unfortunate.

How's everyone getting on with acquiring engines? I still need two Supras and a Lexus. I've got ten of some. Sat there for another hour earlier but none came through.

Got quite a few half mills on the four star though. Bought a Veyron. Also got an Ultra High Rpm turbo for the RX7 (which adds about another 80bhp so it's about 580 now over 499, but rather pales in insignificance when you can plop the 787b in there...) And a stage 5 (five) weight reduction for a Veneno, which I didn't even know was a thing?

I'm probably coming up on about 3 hours of running this glitch across about 4 separate sessions. 150 engines, only 4 787 engines and 5 Nismos though. Wouldn't mind a couple more of each.

4 star prizes I've had the mill about 5 times, half a mill about 5 times, AM Vulcan, BRZ GT3000 (twice), WRX Gt.3, Red Bull X2014 Junior, AMG GT3, Evo Final GT3, Atenza Gr.4, 917 Living Legend, maybe a dozen other cars.

In other words tap that rich vein before you download the update - if that's possible !

A new update for Gran Turismo 7 has been released. The following is a list of the adjustments introduced.

In March Kaz said the following:

Kaz said:
We will in time let you know the update plans for additional content, additional race events and additional features that will constructively resolve this,” he continued. “It pains me that I can’t explain the details regarding this at this moment, but we plan on continuing to revise GT7 so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.

We would really appreciate it if everyone could watch over the growth of Gran Turismo 7 from a somewhat longer term point of view.
4 months later still nothing. I suspect that at the time of writing they didn’t have any plans as they thought the game was perfect.

It can’t be that hard to implement selling cars? But I suspect they’re now working out how to tie used car prices with autotrader for that real world feel and will spend the next decade perfecting it instead of implementing it.

Implement selling cars?!! That's functionality they took out that had been in the game since the very first day of the first game of the franchise!

And what happened to Sophy? This revolutionary new AI system?

I can't understand how it would be so difficult to sell cars either. Pretty sure the mechanic back in the day was a nominal 50% of the purchase price? Although by was it GT2 or GT4 the price might be affected (very slightly) by what you had done to it? I seem to remember removing parts I had added and selling the car at base price then selling parts separately as this would get me more money back? Or was that not the case?

No chance. Its online only (ignoring that stupid music rally mode) - you cannot even play the single player races without being connected to their servers.

Yea, there's no way of avoiding the update, which is why I spent an hour or so doing the glitch again late last night!

I don't think the format of the game depends on being able to sell cars in the same way that earlier games did. You had to sell car to fund upgrades or the next one.

There are plenty of ways now to generate credits and you can't sell gift cars. If you get gifted a duplicate you can sell the one you bought but other than that I'm not sure I understand why the second hand car market is such a priority.

Are there plenty of ways to generate credits? I'm a casual gamer, I usually get < 10 hours a week on the game, probably on average 5 max. I've still not yet completed gold on all circuit experiences. It's taken me weeks to increase my credits from ~6m to 12m (albeit with buying a few million of cars a week ago). It'll probably take me another few weeks before I hit 20m and I can finally buy one of the really nice classic racecars from Hagerty.

If you could sell cars it would really help out the casual gamers without having too much of an impact, or making things too easy for those who play everyday.

It would also help adjusting the circuit experience times. I’ve said it before but as someone who completed all gold on GTsport I’m really struggling on GT7 to get anywhere even close on quite a few circuits.

Circuit experiences and online time trials are two examples of millions of credits available. You can navigate most of the menus without needing to buy cars, whilst accumulating many others.

The game even lets you borrow cars for time trials, daily races and events, so you don't have to buy as many cars as you had to previously.

I think people have forgotten how much of a grind some of the older games were.

There also seems to be an element of "I bought the game so I'm entitled to everything to be available to me".

Why is that the game's problem?

Some of them are hard and take graft. They've also nerfed some of them already.

And how much time they gladly put in to them when they were younger hehe

I remember doing the Sunday Cup over and over and over in GT, because you then won a Mazda Demio which you could sell for 12,000 credits, which was a significant amount of money at that stage of the game hehe

The issue with the online time trials is that (as I understand it) you have to be with X seconds of the top time to get anything. Which usually takes lots of time to practise. Which casual games don't have.

Also, the circuit experiences, the only ones I'm really struggling to get close to gold on (other than the 'ring, now done) are the rally ones. Seem to be much easier with a controller than a wheel, but I resent the fact that I have to change to a controller just to get golds when it's the game that's broken.

Put it this way, in GTs of old, I could work towards wanting to get a car (say the 20m Jag), buy in, use it for a while, then sell it for 10m and it wouldn't be so much of a graft to get the next 20m car I wanted.

Now, you buy the 20m car, use it, no point in selling it, and now you have to start all over again from 0 to get the next car.
