I’m not sure I’m ready for the ensuing fall out if I were to accidentally push someone a bit wide.
I know my license times may suggest otherwise, but I am only human and prone to making the odd error here and there. It feels like there is already enough drama currently
I'm assuming you're referring to the above.I know my license times may suggest otherwise, but I am only human and prone to making the odd error here and there. It feels like there is already enough drama currently
Firstly, it's the written word, so tone is lost but if you want to inaccurately frame raising things as moaning to suit a narrative then that's fine. If it can be part of a little internet pile on (which I enjoyed over a coffee this afternoon), then so much the better.
Secondly, as a human, I make a huge amount of mistakes. There's been a few doozies already today. I'm more about how to sort them. The thread contains numerous apologies to other people and I withdrew from races if I thought my connection was dodgy to try to avoid spoiling it for others.
Thirdly, as a human, make no mistake, I like to moan about stuff.
Fourthly, the stuff I have raised historically is not without merit. Be that laggy participants, including myself, or differing car specs/rules. You can't have a race series in identical cars when some cars are clearly not the same.
Fifthly, Bump has run has never been an acceptable tactic IME, whether the pay off is instant or 10 seconds later. And being on pole, by IIRC a second, but starting from the back without knowing why is, I feel, worth asking about. I applaud those to whom such things are meaningless.
Should this stuff bother me? I don't know, but I can tell you it does. I have plenty of respect for people who just cruise through life not caring, I've no idea what that's like as I'm clearly not one of them. That table should look significantly different, but there you go.
As you say, it should be fun, but that spoils it for me. Sorry and all that. It won't be an issue going forward.

Stick with it Ferry. Remember the game itself is still a little bit fked. I thought turn 1, race 1 was pretty clean, but I came out with a 5 sec penalty ?! Looking at the replay again I think it was Luke that hit the inner barrier, then hit (touched) me - which gave me a pen. It would still help a little if everyone could take it easy at the start, and be respectful during overtaking/being overtaken. By and large this has been mostly the case. Accidents and overshoots happen. In which case if you knock someone off, give up the place. I got pissed off myself with the first few races, having being punted off in turn 1, 2, 3 of lap 1. I don't think this will make you feel better Ferry, but looking at my replay, Welshys overtake (undertake) was fine. You went wide. But as we know, due to PSN, what one person sees and feels is not neccesarily the same as another. And BTW - nice driving Norbs. You gave space when needed, and pushed where you could.Firstly, it's the written word, so tone is lost but if you want to inaccurately frame raising things as moaning to suit a narrative then that's fine. Ian - please don't smash a barrier right in front of me
So, anyway, if it's Red Bull, Monza, Dragon Trail the next 3 weeks, I'll call 'Joker' for Dragon. I won't make Monza race since I'm back home in the Steel City.

Anyone up for some gr3 Racing tomorrow get lobby open around 8pm or so. Also does anyone fancy doing a leman special event on the weekend of lemans 15th June either sat evening or Sunday after race with either old school gr2 cars or gr1.
Le Mans session is a great idea. Tempted to suggest doing it at 700pp so we can each use cars we know well for the track and likely have quite a bit of variety (I have F1 GTR to Mono to Swift for example) but then I also like the idea of running a gr1 or gr2 at, say, 800pp. We all by now probably have at least one iconic 80s/90s Le Mans car each. What's the car this week? Might actually get to join this week.
It's the 2020 honda civic type r with race hard tyres we at red bull ring. Lobby kicks off around 7.30 more than welcome to join. Also a 2 lap run around route X with the Corvette c7 zr1 race hard tyres. I want to try something different with race 3 quali just to make it a bit easier to know where people are on the one lap quali. So when the lobby goes live enter the event then go straight to track but stay in pit lane when everyone is in the pit lane ready I will go off first everyone else then follow out do your out lap then fast lap then come into pits. If the last person out on track can just mention in the game chat when you have finished your flying lap just do I know when the past runner has completed their qualy lap. Also be careful not to give yourself a pen on the outlap.
Also if anyone wants to use your joker ping me a message on psn before the lobby starts at 7.30.
