Has anyone pre-ordered the new Diablo 4 ahead of the open beta?

I must have 5000 hours in D2 and D3 so i have preordered, its probably the last money blizz will get out of me, although i have the Lilith statue

it looks pretty ste if i am honest and i am expecting a bucket load of pay to win features, paid expansions, paid classes etc.

I'm hoping the Microsoft deal to buy Activision Blizzard gets approved and goes through shortly so they can get this added to Game Pass and i can save myself 60 quid smile

Having been an absolute PoE maniac for several years I'm looking forward to getting back on Diablo (I have played D2 and the inferior D3 for years). I'm going to miss the beta though, as tempting as it is. I don't want to drop a SoJ in beta and feel like I've peaked laugh

I haven't pre-ordered it but I will almost certainly get this.

I've been playing lots of Divinity Original Sin 2 recently which is slower with turn-based combat but also highly addictive.

Yep, I’ve pre-ordered (physical copy from Shopto). I have a ton of hours in D3 so I’m looking forward to seeing the next iteration over a couple of weekends. If it turns out to be crap or whatever, I can simply cancel the pre-order

Plus, I too want that wolf pup cosmetic hehe

Much more stable now. Queue time has been under a minute the last couple of times I’ve logged in and had no disconnects (in fact I’ve only had one disconnect and that was very early on)

Seems Blizzard has actually done something about the issues which is good

And personally I’m loving the game. The UI is a step back from D3 though and it does feel like a game that’s been in development for years and hasn’t caught up with “modern” RPG gaming. Let’s hope they can patch some of that out

I'd agree with all that, one other annoyance was there's no longer a nice easy portal that appears at the end of a dungeon, it's either highlight the dungeon entrance in the map, or if that doesn't work, backtrack through the whole thing or to teleport back to town.

I'm enjoying the beta so far.
Not found any real issues - playing as a Rogue, up to level 10 so far

Barb lvl 20 - veteran
Sorc lvl 25 - veteran

Graphically looks stunning

Vastly far to much travelling about, which you often need to repeat areas, vast amounts of time wasted easily getting on for half my playtime. I want to kill st not look at the scenery, D3 and PoE both do this way better, this is an ARPG not an MMO.

World bosses, what a crap idea for Diablo and having specific spawn times is double crap, this is an ARPG not an MMO, the whole point is you can dip in and out as and when convenient and not stand around waiting for spawns ...

Story - very well done and some great animations, vastly too much for me, I have skipped it all, I want to kill st not read a book.

Itemisation is basic but an improvement on the start of D3, I hope they don't bring in class sets as they just restrict each class to a couple of builds. The interface does little to show you how effective stats are on your build. Dungeon loot in general is poor and some of the dungeons are way too long. I love the +x skill level items from D2.

Skill tree an improvement over D3 but still very simple compared to PoE, paying for resets just sucks whilst you learn the class. It will just force people into cookie cutter templates rather than trial and error.

Potions, the solution to having a perma recharging potion works really well on boss fights in dungeons, it adds a real sense of risk to a hard fight, skilling up the potion is a nice touch. Its all good until you get some life on xxx at which point potions become irrelevant, my sorc hasn't used a potion for the last 10 levels.

Gold, why start with such massive numbers, players at 25 have a million+ already, by 100 we are all going to have billions again like D3

Loot goblins - woohoo brought a smile to my face seeing these, although you end up dragging 200+ mobs behind you chasing them.

Butcher, I met him once for 10 seconds where it one hit my barb before I realised what it was... wasn't there 20 seconds later when I returned.

You get the feeling a lot of design decisions have been made to make it easier for console users.

It has potential, but we wont really know till we see the end game, seasons are going to be a nightmare if you have to follow this massive long winded story line to reach level 100 made worse with the epic amount of down time walking / riding around.

I have not tried the Beta, not looked at any gameplay. I have 000's of hours in D3 and will play this when it's fully released without a 'build guide' and hopefully enjoy it to the fullest.

I can't wait!

If you go to the emote wheel, there is an option there to “Exit dungeon”. Not exactly obvious granted!

Seems like a better idea than waiting for enough SoJ's to sell to spawn a boss.

Very much looking forward to trying Necromancer this weekend. It was my favourite class by far in D3

I will stick with PoE's system where you spawn them yourself when you are ready
