so far loving the necro build, maxd it out to 25 and farmed reasonable kit, went for a full out pet build with a blood generator and spender to give a plentiful supply of blood orbs (spec'd into pet healing from blood orbs) even the lvl 35 mob couldn't kill them or the lvl 30 event, I much prefer it to the D3 necro and never had to use a pot, with my skills and the pets spamming fortify i pretty much had 100% fortify up the whole time in a dungeon, I could tank pretty much anything incl poison pools and the lvl 35 mobs on death 'one hit kill' explosion. This will be my starting char.

My druid "chungas" only made it to lvl 12, from experience and what streamers report its by far the weakest class and probably needs some rebalancing, the class lore is also broken for me with the druid having warebear and warewolf forms??? lycanthropy is a curse, druids get animal / tree form because of their oneness with nature.

Played for a few hrs over the weekend just to get the feel of the game. This was on the laptop rather than the Xbox that I’m accustomed to. I very much prefer it already to Diablo 3. While that was fun I felt it lost it’s spark a little compared to the Diablo one and two. I played as a barbarian this weekend, mainly to see if the streamers thoughts were correct. Tbh I felt it was a decent start. Certainly once you fly past L25 and carry on, I feel that the classes will really come into their own.

Nothing else to add other than Diablo 2 was a fking exceptional game. I didn't even bother with the WOW-ified Diablo 3.

There there dungeon bosses in D4 that you can face whenever and no doubt there will be endgame bosses that you can drop keys for like in D2, so you can still get your Sirus/Uber Atziri/whatever style experience when you want it. The world bosses are just an extra added feature to bring players together for a community challenge. That sounds great!

After a few fairly dull and disappointing leagues and with no real news on PoE 2 for a while, GGG need to look at D4 with concern. I've got hundreds of hours in PoE but I'll admit it hasn't been as good as it was for a while now.

they can keep their world boss st in warcraft, next they will be adding 100 daily quests with 3 month rep grinds ...

yeah PoE has not been at peak performance recently, I had wondered if they pulled devs onto V2

latest PoE season is utterly pointless to me, I'm using cheapish unique weapons so can not use the event item at all ...
