.....how the f:censored:k do you do it????

I have spent the last 2 hours banging my head against this mission, and the closest I've come is 3 seconds off the lead car.

If I try and drive any faster, the car just comes off the road.

It's getting right on my tits now, and I would appreciate any advice anyone could give me on how to beat it.

Sure.

It's one of the 'Three Lap Total Fking Miracle' missions.

You are in a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II, on Laguna Seca. Ahead of you are a Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept, a Saleen S7, a Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car, a Chevrolet Corvette C5R and a Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca Race Car.

I had a similar problem. After much ball ache I shaved the time off at the corkscrew (sharp right and left at the top of the hill), really difficult to fire through those two bends and its a bit hit and miss but that did it for me. Problem is that you have to get through cleanly at least 2 out the 3 times!

Hope that helps.

Tried this already. I can never get it right 3 times in a row. I guess I'll just have to keep trying.

It's really annoying cos I'm at the stage where only the driving missions are keeping me from getting to 100%. Once I've done them the rest that I've got left should be fairly easy.

I have a horrible feeling that it's gonna take me a loooong time to do mission 34.....

I did mission 34 on the second attempt! but then the nurburgring is about the only track I use...

Regarding the Laguna Seca mission, I remember that turns 2, 3 and 4 are the one's where you can really gain time. Try playing with your braking points and take note of your cornering speed in those corners.

Thats not the slipstreaming challenge one, is it?

I haven't managed that one yet either!

Advice on the skyline slipstream would be welcome.

As for the Ford GT one, i think it is a case of judging the limits of all the stupid ESP type stuff, if you activate the understeer/oversteer or the tc it really slows you down.

Slight OT, does anyone know if you can disconnect the ABS altogether?

i did the skyline slipstreaming one on my second attempt, this is how i did it.

- you find that you catch up and get to second place quite quickly with only the skyline miles ahead in first, basically don't stay in second all the time as your speed won't be enough to catch first place. let the third and fourth placed cars catch up and pass and then slipstream them again to boost your speed up, continue doing this and you should catch first place by the end of the final corner.

I found the best way was to never do anything other than full throttle. When you get to second place keep checking your mirrors to allow the cars behind to slipstream you, but rather than letting them past just let them bang into the back of your car to give you a boost. Keep doing this and you should do it no bother.

This finally worked. the other drivers don't exactly co-operate, 3 races in a row the red car swiped me out of the race and a few other times they refused to slipstream.

Will try the Ford GT one after lunch.

This Skyline one is really annoying me now. I slipstream them and let them slipstream me but I lose so much time every lap in the corners because they brake every time and appear capable of slipstreaming on the straights only. I tried the full throttle all the time let them run into the back of you method but found that half the time they backed off instead of hit me. Any advice?

I've got plenty left to do in the rest of the game but this is really bugging me.

the skyline one is the only one ive got left to do, i hate it.

the ford GT one took me two attempts, the nurburgring one i completed the other day on the second attempt after giving it a break for a couple of months. helps to do plenty of laps.

Here's a thread discussing the Skyline mission.

I followed these instructions (letting the cars pass you back and slipstreaming 3/4 times) and passed on the 2/3rd attempt.

Finally done it. I always thought I was getting too far ahead for other cars to get a tow off me so backed off. As soon as I stopped backing off it was easy
