GTR Races Thread
The old thread was getting a bit tired

Any ideas on a track/vehicle for tonight?
If everyone has got the Audi A4's? Escorts again?
And we could stick to Brands again, or try a standard Monza/Enna or something?
See you at 9...

Dave.

I'm not racing tonight, but my back is better so I'll definately be back later this week.

As a suggestion the Cup's are good.

Corvettes, Lamborghini's and Saleens (all with about 20 different skinned cars).

From here - www.speedwerx-dev.com/?p=22

Navigate - Cups/ scroll down a little. Be aware the Cups below the German Porsche Cup are for F1C not GTR.

Good to see you're recovering..!
Making a good packet from someone after a bit of design work.. so might have the Momo soon, so you'd better be prepared for a serious No1 contender

Only 25mins left now, i'll be waiting.. expect the decision will be made in the lobby.

Dave.

The last few weeks we all get together in the lobby and then all fiddle and fart around for about 30 minutes trying to decide what track/cars to race.

then we try to start the game and have a bunch of problems for one person or another.

how about next race we decide properly in advance what we are doing? And maybe even test that it works before we arrive? I'm as guilty as the next man for not doing this, so I'd have to be the first to make an effort to sort myself out, but it does save the messing around and does mean we might get a race started before 10:00.

I think that's a pretty good idea to be honest..!

If i knew exactly what we were racing I can have to server up at 10minutes to... and everyone can have tested their mods and we can get straight to it.

Of course can always run Open Grid if people's mods are refusing to work and let them take a standard car.

Dave.

(Still looking into our possible new server)

After last nights hour of crap followed by 20 mins of racing I detected that most of the 'old lags' would be quite happy to return to GPL.

If any of you without GPL wants to give it a try its usually available for under a tenner from Amazon.

I rememebr the wondrous days when we used to have about 4 races a night. We struggle to have 4 races a month with GTR

With 4 people because those who found it too hard didn't turn up again.

I haven't played GPL since February and it's pretty soon going to get archived copied to DVD and deleted from my HDD.

Nah on second thoughts GTR is good.. never tried GPL to be honest so I can't compare, but it does work fine if everyone knows what's happening..

We just need to be sorted and final on what we are racing before the night, that way we can be super-poling 5 minutes in (if everyone arrives on time )

Any suggestions for the next race?

Dave.

I'm with Diver and Mike, I'm sick of GTR it stresses (sp) me more than makes me smile.

How about a meet this week / w/e? AJ, Rob and Badders still race regularly, maybe drop them a mail through PH, that would make at least six of us,

FWD - youwere always to quick anyway although you will be missed of course

I could get quite excited about this

If everyone goes back to GPL I will have to join them! But if we do decide on GPL, I expect GTR will be used aswell.. The delays are all about timing really

So how about as suggested above...

Saturday 17th Race @ 8pm
TVR Cup Cars [download this, then this and install ]

Monza (Standard Track)

The server will be up at 10minutes to.. ready and waiting, so no delays unless you install the mods wrong

Dave :thumbup
