Bloody hell, that guy took it a bit too seriously with all that testing! I just used the best car I had available at the time, which might have been the R8, then added hard tyres, took a bit of downforce off, started it on B-spec, checked that it seemed to be doing okay, then turned the TV off and went out...

i used the 92 nissan lmp as it was all i had at the time, and let b spec do it all. still got 10% left to do though, not enough time to play it much now.

There is a known bug in the European PAL version of GT4 where under some circumstances, "B-Spec Bob" drives into walls on the Musalanne Staight and/or careers off the track at the bend at the end of it.

I've seen many theories and workarounds to this. Some people say you should raise the ride height, but what I discovered quite by accident is that brake balance seems to play a big part.

For A-Spec (ie. me driving) I tend to have 20 front and 15 rear, but Bob doesn't cope with this. Changing it to 5 front and 5 rear seems to cure the problem.

Ah, I assumed the hitting the wall on Mulsanne thing was just part of the B-spec game where the driver gradually improves the more 'he' races. Didn't realise it was a bug.
