I downloaded the demo last night, but I can't get it to run. I just get the opening screen and then it shuts down. I am running XP, would there be a compatibility issue here?
I would like to try before I go to the trouble of buying a joystick/steering wheel etc.

Thanks,

Paul.

I assume that you mean GT Legends? You may have the infamous Star Force blue screen problem, which is cured by downloading the latest driver from the StarForce website.

Else, ensure that you have the latest drivers for you your graphics card.

Oh, and a steering wheel and pedals is THE only way to play

No, Grand Prix legends. The F1 simulation set in 1967.
Thanks for replying anyway.

Christ - you're a bit late on that one! You should be able to get the full version for a fiver somewhere.

I do remember having a similar issue ages ago when I tried to run it - someone will correct me I'm sure but I think nearly everyone had an issue with the demo?

If you have the original demo from ages ago there could be an issue with XP.

However there's many users playing it on XP, I think there is an 'all-in-one' sort of download you get to updated so it's all modern and nice and works on XP etc.

Not sure if there's one for the demo though (or if you can't just use the full version one?).

Try enthusiast websites such as blackhole motorsports and racesimcentral
.

The original demo definately won't work... it'b broken on PCs faster than 733Mhz or something IIRC.

the demo you want is the GPL2004 demo... www.bhmotorsports.com/GPL/downloads/3239

Yep, that works after a fashion...
I suppose that's only to be expected from a demo.

Anyway, thanks very much. I'll probably splash out a fiver on the full version.

Anybody have any recommendations for a wheel and pedals?

Paul.

No, works a treat on PC's as it is USB compatible. All the drivers are available, and there is a wealth of help out there for you to help set up up perfectly.

ref DFP drivers - I cant find any, it appears they used to be available on the logitech site but no more, any clues?

DFP works with GTL anyway but cant help feeling it might be better with proper drivers (as I spin off )

You just need the Logitech Wingman software - this has the correct drivers in there - you configure everything there and then GTL.

Works a treat on mine
