That man has superhuman abilities on GTL, its true

Not just GTL - between him and FWD none of us stood a chance on GTR either.

I thought I gave them a good run in my NGT

I would be VERY interested in another Sunday night GTR league again, was thinking about it the other day actually. Was well good fun!!

I haven't got GTL, slap me quick!!! Am I missing out a lot???

bloody hell funkyrobot I thought you'd buggered off, haven't seen your name around these parts for a while.

Yep, you were very handy in your NGT 360 modena, if I recall you'd often beat most of the GTs in the class above, then you disappeared and stopped playing!

And yes you are missing out, GTL is the canines danglies.

Well all I can say is I got busy, then had a house refurb which meant no comp for about a month, then checked back on the forum and didn't see much more being done with GTR as its all GTL now, then recently got mega mega withdrawal symptoms and dusted off the old steering wheel and played a bit of GTR again.

Now I have MEGA MEGA MEGA withdrawal symptoms and want to get racing again, its been so long since I played GTR I forgot all my passwords lol!!

Anyway I am in Nottingham tomorrow so may see how cheap I can pick up a copy of GTL and will be online to commence rubber burning again soon.

Any news on getting a server set up for GTR as I much prefer it when we get something good sorted and the lagg is removed, crazy that Lagg!!!

Dobbo, I remember racing with you and the crew and i'm looking forward to banging wheel arches with you again soon!!

Such sweet memories

You'll never look back

It's usually me looking back seeing everyone else disappearing into my dust

A server will be coming very shortly, but only for GTL, we are all sick of GTR due to all the problems with it

Dave.

IS GTL sorted then, e.g rid of the old probs with temperamental log in problems, funny issues with the lobby, switching between test and live server etc etc??

If so i'm in!!

I'd say that GTL (so far) is plagued by less than 5% of the problems GTR had.

It's not without the odd balls up and crash out when you are sat on the grid but it happens so rarely that it's not a big deal.

Hopefully that will continue as more tracks and eventually more cars become available.

Ian - that was a really good race, unfortunately my connection dropped out in themiddle of it (don't know how close to the end because my motec has never, ever, worked).

I got a fairly good start and as usual (sorry) a really really good first lap (for some reason I'm always good on the first lap). Then I made a silly mistake and you passed me, I was catching and I think you must have made a mistake going onto the back straight? We braked for the chicane and I braked as late as I could but I think you thought I was going to hit you! you moved out of the way and let me through (it would have been ok!). Then we caught up with the other guys whoi very kindly all moved over but somehow in that I pulled out a bit of a gap... then I eased up a bit to save my tyres and then I got disconnected

still, a really good race. cheers guys.

In the first 15 lap race at Donny I filled my 906 to the gills which said 12 laps, so thought 'brill I'll make a really late pitstop and hopefully be in the lead once normal people pit at lap 7 or 8'.

I duly came into the pits on lap 12 with the fuel light blinking, altered my fuel to another 3 laps and went out again (down to 4th place). The fuel light started blinking with two laps to go but I knew I was safe until of course I coasted to a halt on the pit straight about to start the last lap. I even managed to roll half way down the pit lane only to see my numpty pit crew standing and staring at me. Where was the push lads?

Morons - I'm not paying them again

That non-PHer (Roman-G) managed to fill his car so he didnt have to stop at all - I forget which car he was in?

I enjoyed the longer race even though I had to pit twice as I did not know how to fuel my car!

Whens the next one.....

I tend to fall off quite a lot! It's easy for people who are slower than me to beat infact, I crash that much...

except occaisionally, when I feel really "on it" and then I am fast and consistent too!

More superpole please! I'm good over one lap!

edit: Ian, diver, Pv, Neil, etc. etc. are all fast and consistant...

I'll be there about 8:15 (school meeeting beforehand).

There's NO WAY that I am fast, but I am generally pretty consistent and don't make many mistakes (unless I'm trying to overtake, then its sometime Wacky Races ).

If you want to be there or thereabouts at the end, concentrate on making no mistakes. It's far better to drive really relaxed about 2 secs off your fastest pace, than make one mistake every lap costing you 20 secs a time.

You were really on it last night, I was gutted when you disconnected it looked like we were in for a good fight to the finish.

I did make a small mistake into the last corner before the back straight, I saw you go on the inside then lost view of you so chose to give a wide berth "just in case"
When we passed the lapped cars I misread what one of them was going to do and took evading action, locked up the wheels and ran wide. I took it steady for the next couple of laps to let them cool down. We were just about running together again on lap 15 when you started blinking in and out a bit then on lap 16 you disconnected
We were all a bit spread out after that so we all quit on lap 18.

Great racing, we'll have to have another go
