1 min 45 in the GT40

Just had 20 minutes in the GT40 and only managed a 1:48 - if you can put in a 1:45 then you are very very fast in that car and should definately use it.

AFAIK the record on GTL rank is about 1:44 in the GT40.

As you say at those speeds you'll be mixing it up with the fastest 76 cars after the pitstop!

1.42 in last nights race with the 911 with a revised setup - that was an awesome race by the way. 4 or so capris and my 911 - we had a pack of 4 of us all jostling for 1st on about lap 8 - great fun, and me reeling in dave 3 times and messing up the last corner allowing him back in thats what its all about !!

See you all tomorrow night

Still on about 1.46 with the 906 - Doh!

Not had a chance to practice much this week, so just tried a few laps in the CSL. Managed a 1:46.8 so far - can't see myself gaining much time anywhere though!

I've tried the CSL, couldn't do much better than a 1m45.2s, similar driving style cars like the Escort (1m44) and Capri (1m42) are faster, at least for me at Anderstorp but I think the CSL will come into it's own at other circuits.

What advantages do you think the CSL might have at other circuits then? Apart from sounding mental having rather cool side exhausts

I think it's nimble and has good traction out of tight corners, will be good at Mondello and Dijon.

Also a big CSL fan, but my favourite car so far is the ferrari - its not quick enough though.

Quick question: to pit do you have to use the pit button or can you just drive into the pits when you feel like it?

If you have to use the pit button how does it work? does it have to be 1 lap before? on the pit straight?

906 for me - safest bet... especially now we can change cars each race!
