*Dunce Moment* Where can I find the teamspeak server IP?

I downloaded it and I've used it in the past (CounterStrike Days ) but I need the server IP don't I? God I'm getting forgetful in my old age

My applogies if my Yellow 911 shaped lawn mower caused any distractions on Sunday!

You dont need to - just search for Pistonheads in the Server list and use the default password.

Despite this i still managed to get into the race and was doing well until i took a bit too much grass coming out of one of the left turns with heavy camber... cue brown cordroy moment (as i was 2nd at that time) and then it was time for luncheon in what appears to be a hidden car park.

I was getting nervous as you were gaining on me significantly but when you span I did let out a little evil chuckle - I saw it all in my rear view mirror

I thought that! You let me past and I dropped a place, not to worry though I flew sideways at the end of the straight

After having to make a 2nd unwanted stop and finding myself 13th with only 5 laps left there was no way anyone was going to keep me behind them if I could help it so the parting of the waves ahead was quite welcome, perhaps you could hear the growling of frustration from my V8?

didn't see you much in the race Neil, actually that's not true, I did come to meet a cloud of dust at the end of the straight and thought OOoo that looks nasty i wonder who it is and picked up a place last I saw of you Fuel wasn't it? don't no whether you found it or not but there is a handy little tool in the garage that helps you work out the right fuel for X amount of laps (top left of screen) I'm assuming you dont know it's there

Great race everyone, not sure the 65s will be so cocky at the next track, Ian would have easily had us if he didn't have to stop a 2nd time

Dropped of the pace lap 5 onwards thinking Mike had got caught in an incident, nobody was around and I didn't want to stack it (running 2nd), then on lap 8 a bl**dy GT40 bonnet of all things appeared in my mirror turned up the pace out of panic and was all over the shot needless to say Mike got passed rather easily I must try not to get so excited (but I like it)

Loved your comment on lap 13 Mike 'oh god here he comes' you have good eyes, even though you were in front of me you saw him b4 I did, I then looked in my mirror and there he was IAN! made the GT40 as wide as I could Ian was apparently holding back anyway though (knowing he was pitting) I felt like I was protecting my team mate (god knows why)

Anyway, nice opener for the league (for most of us), hope it continues......... (and is better for others)

ps - love the analyser

That was a great race, unfortunately I blew it before T2
I started on pole, made a reasonable start but outbraked myself into T1, I ran off the track and ended up towards the rear of the pack. Luckily (for me) FWD seemed to have had some problems as well and I was directly behind him, then into T3 he was on the inside line, I was on the outside but I think someone gave him a nudge and he ran wide. I tried to take avoiding action but inevitably there was a collision albeit only a light one.
Coming towards the end of the lap I was running at best mid pack and had a flash of brilliance decided to pit to give myself track space.
Who on earth pits on lap 1 takes on new tyres but forgets fuel? That's right, me !!
Feeling rather depressed at having to do another stop I tried to make the most of a bad situation and kept pushing.
Lap 8 or 9 I saw FWD coming out of the pits ahead of me, at that point I was sure the race would be his, I had another pitstop to make. I tried to catch him into T1 but he was just way too fast, then to my surprise he pitted at the end of the lap.
That made me even more determined to push hard, I was only 2 laps of fuel short, as long as I could make my pitcrew work this time, I had a chance of getting ahead of him
Lap 10 or 11 I could see the GT40s of 1st and 2nd ahead, the call of "oh crap it's IAN" gave it away , I was catching them rather quickly and in hindsight I pitted a lap too late, PV has got a very wide car if he doesn't want to be passed. Lap 13 the fuel light came on, so I pitted expecting to come out about the same time FWD came past. He was nowhere to be seen having had his pitcrew change all the tyres again I believe There was no chance of recatching the GT40s at that point so I just took a steady run to the finsih to take a totally undeserved 3rd overall, but winning my class.

Congrats to Mike & PV for a great run in the GT40's.

Overall verdict, I must try harder

Did almost the same thing as you, ran a little wide and the grass sucked me out into the edge of the kitty litter, then I got mugged a few times before the end of the lap. But I recovered before pitting and (because I've never done a GTL pit) I thought the fuel would be set to put the same I started with into the car but I learnt it doesn't do that so I went out for another lap with my red fuel light on and made it back the next time round to the pits.

I have learned and been practicing Dijon already. I won't make the same mistake again

Good race everyone.

Having been punted off 3 times during the race the last time being with about 3 laps to go taking me from 5th to 13th, next time i think i'll try to give people a wider berth!

Still 'twas a good laugh and I thorooughly enjoyed it even though my time was not the best ever.

Dijon next!

Anyone got any good set-up advice for a novice? I'm finding I keep visiting the far off reaches of the track from the dips.

If you look through the online setups you can often find ones that have been uploaded by one person and then rated by one or more people.

If you can find a setup (or setups) for your car that have a high rating from one or more people, then those are usually a good starting point.

Yes, thought that was very kind of you but I think you dropped more than you gained

I also touched someone (gently) on the last lap decided that was unfair, let them recover to hold their position they then spun in the last corner without my assistance so I dived through, nice!
