Grr, says hes sent it first class instead of special delivery, but that it will still reach me by friday. He originally said it would reach me by thursday. Looking like saturday,then.
Says he will repay the difference via paypal. Turns out the seductive special delivery was a con then.

Now I have to undergo another hellish day at work when I thought I'd gone through it all already. Today's wait was for nothing then.

without wishing to sound like a stuck tape player i suggest you cancel your cheque and get it from somewhere else, as it sounds less and less likely you will ever see it
