Ok chaps, we don't have a definitive answer on the Donington National vs Donington GP debate. Vote here please.

The GP loop doesn't make it more fun though. Though I do sort of feel we ought to race on the GPl circuit and not cop out.

So you are firmly on the fence then Mike?

I prefer the national, like Mike said the GP isn't any more fun. Also if the track is shorter it might make for a more interesting race as there will be more passing of back-markers etc.

So I vote for the national circuit

I'm in for National, as Mr Yogi said, lots of overtaking, plenty of oppotunity for certain people to be slowed up

I find the National more fun, but you have to be a lot more careful with the tyres on the GP circuit, so that might make things more interesting
I say GP circuit as we can always use the National for fun races

Agreed the extra loop is horrible and pointless!

Prefer driving the national as well but has anyone raced there with 17+ cars in different classes over a half hour race? the extra loop would spread us out a bit more.

Maybe Neil could do a poll on the server website? Though it's looking about 50:50 at the moment

Well I've just done about 20 laps practice on the GP circuit (tried 2 different cars) might be scope for a 76 car change based on the laps I'm doing.

Can't be doing with a poll creation tonight but I have changed the server to Donny GP AND National so you can practise both.

We need to make a decision by Wednesday though - I'll change the server onc we've decided.

I'm going to vote GP, because I can't get the chicane right at the national circuit...

Too easy to short cut the chicane in past games and get faster times, if you do it on GTL I think you might get warning, 3 in the race and it'll be a DQ. With the overtaking expected and a few mistakes it would be very easy to get a cutting warning by mistake if avoiding an incident or just messing up on the brakes. If the chicane isn't covered by a cutting warning then there could be an unfair advantage to anyone who repeatadly cuts it to gaine time.

Plus the GP circuit gives everyone 2 extra overtaking opportunities.

I think you get a stop/go for cutting, you only get the DQ for ignoring the stop go (10 second stationary (after you press enter) don't forget the limiter or you'll get another)
