Has anyone else found the AI for the gallardos, stupidly easy... i raced them on 100%, and qualified 3rd, we were all in low 1:25's, but in the race after 22 laps, id lapped them all including 2 pit stops.
There is a way (I forget now) to make the AI learn in rFactor by adapting to your own speed.

Is it safe to assume that everyone has paid their server subscription to Neil?
Sorry whats this?

Yeah i think pitstops would be good. One would be enough, add another dimension to the race.

Whilst I enjoyed the pit-stops in previous series, I think a 20 minute race is just too short. However how about inluding a mandatory stop in the two special stages ?

All us competitors make a small one-off contrubution (£20?) for the use of the server, which is actaully a very fast gaming server hosted by one of the gaming networks. It's not an old Pistonheads webserver anyway hehe

Is that right Neil?

What version of rFactor should we be running (I assume the old PH server hasn't been updated?)

1:25.5 is my best for Brands.
I've upgradded to the latest version.

We did do pitstops on the GTL league and it added another dimension to the racing - would be quite fun smile
it added things in the extreme frustration dimension when you (you in this case mostly = diver or fwd :P ) pressed escape to quit the pit menu but quitted the race! ARGHHH!

was fun though smile

good elan vs Pantera races smile

We also did pitstops in GTR and it was frustrating when you did proper pitstops for fuel and tyres, when some others were just driving in and leaving without doing anything (taking only a few seconds longer for the lap), which made the GT/NGT handicapping pointless.

Regarding the money/subscription thing...

I've just spoken to Neil and there's no longer a requirement to pay subs to play. We will, however, keep a password to prevent non-PH people playing. Abusing the bandwidth for the server would be a bad thing and we could easily lose the server entirely.

If you don't know the password, email me through PH and I'll let you know.

The server will take a while to set up - I'll try to make sure it's ready by Friday or Saturday evening if I can.

Isn't it right that those of us who paid the original subs get a better connection speed and therefore much better responses and an easier car to drive?

Any chance not to come last hehehehehehe

MJ would this be a good time to say I want to be car #26 in the Wurth colours - coz it's pretty

I take it that with the tracks with multiple layouts (Brands, Silverstone, Oulton and Donington) we are using the longest on all of them?

Not in a public forum. Send me an email via PH and I'll let you know that way.

Just had a race with Adam and Mr Yogi. Was close until i binned it trying to hard. Then the rears were too hot and i kept spinning! banghead If anyone else does use the server, bare in mind its set to 20 laps not mins so if youve planned your fuel/tyre strategy (which i had, and saved) you may need to adjust it. wink

Oh yeah and the launch control works well. They didnt know about it so if you dont either, you may get left behind on the line. hehe

Had a go the other night, can't get on with the track and need to work on a set-up.... so expect a cautious start.

Oh and it does not take a lot to wipe out the front splitter.......rolleyes me thinks slow and steady will win the day wink

The server has invunrability enabled, so no need to worry about your splitter wink

As has been said if you spin it your rears will be hot so you have to take the next lap slower.

As for setups, I'm just using the shortest final drive and soft rubber, however I'm not sure they'll last 20mins yet hehe
