Race was great fun, even though I threw away the lead by misssing my braking point into the long 5th gear right hander

Anyway watching the replay back tonight I though I'd take some inspiration from GTR and post a few pics...

The track seems to come out of nowhere at speed, if those corner marker boards disappear in the race it's gonna be messy

AND another thing, the bump in the braking zone for the last chicane

I figured I wouldn't leave it till sunday this time, and downloaded thruxton yesterday. It ain't half bumpy, some of the bumps throw the car all over the place, it's going to be hairy stuff I reckon!

Just had my first 10 laps. 1:11.9 is my best and was 0.6secs slower in the last sector (than my previous time).. I reckon come qualifying pole will be in the 1:10's.

Hmm, yes. 1:11.6 and I think there's a second or two left in the track, if you can avoid being thrown off by the bumps.

I think this might be an eventful race! So far, I'm completing one clean lap for every 5 attempted.

My R Factor doesn't seem to like thruxton... wont load it. Is it an RF Conversion as it seems instructions are for SCGT and F1 Champ.

Error opening thruxton.mas!! Getting rather annoying.

Did you extract directly into the 'Locations' folder? Make sure it's not within another folder - should be rFactor/Gamedata/Locations/thruxton and in that folder should be two others - 'lo-res roads' and 'thruxton' as well as the two readme files, and 'thruxton.mas' and 'thruxtonmap.mas'

If it's throwing that up it's because the folder location it's looking for the MAS in is wrong which means you have installed the track into the wrong folder.

Thruxton should be in your locations folder, in a folder called Thruxton. In it will be the Thruxton.MAS and Thruxtonmaps.MAS files and 2 folders, one called Thruxton and one called lo-res roads.

Download the RAR file and extract it to the locations folder, this will put it all in correctly.
