Simple downgrade from v2.2 to v2.0, download the very small zip file, read the text file install the 2 files as per instructions.

http://www.mercia.biz/rfactor/FBMW.zip (11kb download).

I was just looking at the changes that they made when upgrading to 2.2 and one fix was to cure an overheating brakes problem, so wouldn't it be better to run 2.2?

Just tried to get in with the 2.2 patch and got a mis-match. Do I need to remove it?

It's the Donington file from the download link :

http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Doning...

It's up to you if you wish to apply the texture file fix

8PM Start tonight chaps

Andy and I are around the low 1'37's but with a bit more effort and brave pills a 1'36 should be in reach.

Bloody rfactor crashed on the startline and I can't get back in. Gutted, I've been looking forward to these all week.cry Although it would have been a short race as I had forgetten to put race fuel in! Not sure if I can get in for race 2.

Bloody Rfactor crashed again in the middle of race 3. frown I'm sure I didn't tocuh you in the first corner there Dobbo. I was coming up from behind very quickly I saw a gap on the inside, braked as late as I could and it looked like you braked later and went straight on. I'm really sure I didn't hit anyone as the car didn't react. If anyone has a replay file of race 3 they could send me that would be great as I lost mine when Rfactor crashed.

It wasn't a hit mate you just came up hard on the inside and pushed me wide, no big deal just 1st corner stuff, I over reacted

Glad you're okay about it. I got worried when you left straight away. I decided I had to go for it or I would have had to brake early and I had my mirrors full of cars so I thought I might get swamped. I need to find out what is causing these crashes. I did install a new F1 mod earlier in the week which doesn't seem to work very well so it could possibly be linked to that.

What a brilliant evening of racing !! For me a definite for the 2009 season smile

Race 1 - Had a decent start and passed PV off the line before seeing him end up in the kitty litter, pressed on and quickly got onto the tail of FWD, was quicker for the first lap but could not make a pass, then he started to pull away and we reset.

Race 1.1 - Got a blinding start (actually thought I had gone before the green light), passed PV and knew I had to take my opportunity to pass FWD as he was bringing his tyres up to temp. Managed to get into the tow coming out of Coppice and out broke him into the Esses. What ensued were four laps of pure adrenalin !! We both passed each a numerous times, side by side down Craner Curves a couple of time it was absolutely fantastic. I remember getting a bit out of shape coming out of Redgate which opened the door for FWD coming down the Curves and it was very tight going into the Old Hairpin. After that I saw some dust thrown up at McLean's and took it that FWD had had a problem - apologies if I caused it frown

FWD if you can post a video – that would be great wink

Then had a few second lead on Adam and managed to bring it home with about 1/2 second to spare - best race I have ever had.

Race 2 - Got a decent start and was working my way through the pack, managed to get up to 7th but missed my braking point coming into the Esses and locked up before smacking into Booster - sorry chaps !

Rejoined in last (maybe Andy was on the grass a little bit further on) and tried to catch everyone up. Over took a couple of people before the rest of you threw yourselves off the road wink Was a couple of seconds behind Andy but started to push too hard and make mistakes, so settled for 3rd place.

Could not stay for the third race, my play pass had run out of credits from the missus wink

Anyhow, you lot have a good Christmas, CSGT's around Daytona on the 28th if your in need of your rFactor fix.

I'll create a new 2009 thread next week where we can vote and agree on what series we are going to start with next year.
