Race 1.1 - Got a blinding start (actually thought I had gone before the green light), passed PV and knew I had to take my opportunity to pass FWD as he was bringing his tyres up to temp. I got a good start in race 1 and built up a gap so with the restart I took it a little easier for some racing and MJ was so intent on overtaking me on lap 1 I didn't defend myself too much going into the Foggy esses, notice my late turn in after you had passed . Looking back at the replay there was more space between us through Craner Curves than I thought and my wide right line didn't need to be as wide as I had to lift to prevent understeering off a few times, same with the tighter lines out the slow corners, just couldn't get the power down cleanly.

Great battle though.

Think it is in the HistorX mod (GTL) or in the Legends one.

The Gt legends based mods have a Mk1 Escort. No Mk2's yet although there are some in progress. Theres a Mk3 Escort in one of the Rallycross mods.

This one will has an Escort almost identical to the one in the video;

i'm guessing thats a modded mk3 as they were fwd were they not? not the same thing really never like MK3s. but that Hill climb mod looks the GTL mod MK1 was fun, at 8k rpm BDA sounded awesome but it was way to much of a handfull.

Hope the MK2 in the hill mod is more driftable, will keep my eye on that one, cheers Marc

These cars seem rather odd to drive - not much in the way of feedback, feel a bit lifeless. Certainly different to how I remember the 906 in GTL

Had a good first race with PV - damn you passing me on the line !!

Second race was a bit st, had a coming together with PV (note the common theme here) and span miles of the track and got a stop/go when I finally rejoined, kept going but got black flagged ( I asked the steward of the race what was wrong with entering the pits sideways at 100MPH - he had no comment)

Need a suggestion for this weekends mess about - car and track please.

The FBMW's have had the best reception so far so will create a new Calendar for that today and post up for comment.

was a good 1st race think we were both a bit messy which took us to the back, or was that me? oh yeh it was, sorry did wait though which resulted in a good tussle

not sure what happened after the restarts in R2, (Andy get your starts sorted (actually i did that last week though ) but it was definitely your fault MJ

Had a good tussle with FWD at the start, swapped lead a couple of times, thought your were MJ though FWD so sorry if i got a bit too close

These were fun but i think opinion of them is too divided to make them a viable choice, like you say, BMWs seem to be favorite which is fine by me

Next week? loved the old BMW 2002s myself, never seemed to get to race them much though, were they not liked?
