Maidenhead? I thought you were up in York?
think its either the exchange that it uses or the server it does the test from?? that's not m home broadband which is a little faster. If you're really stuck I might try to set up the server for you... will see how much time i've got (writing phd...). Hope you're all good though guys smile

Hmm..

Hold on a minute.. whilst I commence some more digging. smile
No luck, sorry frown
The server however is still up.. it just needs someone to log onto it. Adam had the details it seems? I have the IP and username only i'm afraid.

Dave.

Yup - I was going to check it tonight when I got back from my hols, but what with the goings on at Heathrow this week, late last night BA told me that my flight was cancelled. Not sure if that's good or bad, I'm getting a slightly longer holiday but won't be back until late tonight.

Speed-test wise, when I was doing some mini-hosting a while back, I think I was getting around 400kb/sec. It was fine for half a dozen drivers.

My upload speed seems to avearge circa 200 kb/s so no hosting from me. I hope you get the server working again Adam (sorry about all those erroneous texts I sent you last week hehe )

Anyone done any laps of Brands Indy yet, I can manage 46 or 47 seconds at the moment with the occasional 45 second extravaganza

What version of rFactor should we be running (I assume the old PH server hasn't been updated?)

1:25.5 is my best for Brands.

I think the latest version, though I've not updated mine as yet.

These Gallardos are tricky things - I found increasing the ride height a couple of notches helped reduce the twitchiness of the car. Also braking earlier and powering through the bend seems to suit the handling better - they don't seem very friendly on the limit and hard to steer on the throttle and seemingly almost impossible to recover once they get out of shape. Got down to about 1:24.5 now.

There 20 min races arnt they... omg ive just done a 22 lap race of brands.... it nearly killed me, gotta turn the Forcefeedback down a bit biggrin.

Has anyone else found the AI for the gallardos, stupidly easy... i raced them on 100%, and qualified 3rd, we were all in low 1:25's, but in the race after 22 laps, id lapped them all including 2 pit stops.

Are we having pit stops etc?

A lot of people don't like pitstops (or didnt when we did the V8s) so i doubt it, although maybe in the longer races. The races are indeed 20 mins, what wheel are you using? I find the FFB potent but not OTT.

I seem to get the idea that the AI is always a lot faster in qualifying than the race. I can get mid pack normally but in the race i just blitz everyone, same with PCC05.

We did do pitstops on the GTL league and it added another dimension to the racing - would be quite fun smile

Right, I'm going to start practising the GP right now, so lets see if these 1.24 and 1.25 are attainable by a numpty (ie me rolleyes )

Pitstops are a bit unnecesary for a short 20 min race but would be nice for the 40 minutes biggrin

Is it safe to assume that everyone has paid their server subscription to Neil?
