Well that was fast, i hope they haven't just decided to send me the same console back, haha!
Well they usually do, after replacing the motherboard/DVD drive and anything else they think needs replacing.Well that was fast, i hope they haven't just decided to send me the same console back, haha!
I'm sure the one I got back wasn't the one I sent off - it had parcel tape stuck on a couple of places where I didn't put it.

My RRoD-ed 360 was delivered to them on Tuesday last week, they sat on it until Friday when it changed to "received" and then within 24 hours I had an e-mail confirming it had been processed and would await UPS coming to collect it.
Monday morning, UPS received the shipping information but presently it's still sitting waiting for them to collect from MS. It may not have helped in my case that MS processed it on the Saturday but I'd guess you're going to have to wait a few days for UPS to collect it and then return it.
Fingers crossed for both of us!
I have the issue that my Uni exams start on the 6th of May, i'm bad enough with my revision at the best of times, but if I get GTA I may as well say goodbye to my degree. On the plus side i'm off from the 13th of may until 1st of October, so any time I miss in the first 2 weeks will be made up for.

Hence why I suggested earlier in the thread that you'll get it back on Friday. Fingers crossed for you.
Oh my god...i nearly wet my pants when i saw this in my inbox from Gameplay:
"Dear MrsNucSquash, Grand Theft Auto IV is nearly here! Thank you for your order 2*******4 for Grand Theft Auto IV. The highly anticipated GTA IV game is due to be with you on Tuesday 29th April. To make sure that we get this title to everyone who ordered it for release day we have had to start our picking and packing process earlier than we would for our normal pre-orders. As a result, we may look to authorise and charge your credit/debit card from tomorrow. Kind Regards Customer Service Team Gameplay.co.uk"
I am soooo excited, its not really right as its only a game but i dont care!!
Edit to say - i just realised someone else has already posted the same message - i dont care, im still way too excited about this game!!!

Sorry to be a bit of a numpty, but can you guys some up the multiplayer for me please?
I've never managed to get into the GTA series and so have largely avoided them. I think the closet I came to it is that 360 jumpy jumpy futuristic kill the bad gangmen game. (I can't even remember what it's called!)
I don't doubt it's going to be an awesome game, I'm just not sure it's going to convert me...
Thanks!
Tuan

Multiplayer is just shooting each other in some respect. Or, racing.

Free Mode
As much as we've loved Cops 'n' Crooks, Free Mode is going to be the bread and butter of GTA IV multiplayer. Here's the deal: Up to 16 players can run around Liberty City doing whatever they want. Create your own game modes, hunt for Easter eggs, work together to survive a six-star wanted level -- if you can dream it, there's probably a way to do it. And this mode begins in the most unusual, jarring way.
You begin in a standoff with the other players. Everyone spawns in a circle and there is, at least the first time you play Free Mode, a brief moment of surprise when no one does a damn thing. This lasts a few seconds before someone takes out a gun and shoots their neighbor in the face. But this standoff isn't just to start the killing (and jump people around the city with their first respawn); it also allows players to talk about what they want to do in Free Mode. This way you don't have to hunt for anyone in order to discuss plans to take a bus caravan down to Star Junction or to agree that there will be a knife fight atop the Algonquin Bridge. Or you can just blow each other up. It's Free Mode -- do whatever the hell you want.
