Theres a separate leaderboard for Standard and Professional.

I have been knocked back to 2nd our our challenge, that pesky Campbell18 has put in a stunner of a time.

Finally found some decent people to race against online, had some good races before on expert round Daytona Road. Being on expert means its on Professional and there is no traction control, so there were a few mistakes, but it evened itself out.

On the topic of races, I ended up playing the same bloke over and over again, so i'm sure we could organise online races together? We would need a certain track at a certain time, and then race again straight after the race has finished so we end up together again. We might have some randomers in there, but not many. This is easier on the harder tracks on expert, as there are less people racing on them.

I see someone from here has added me - if anyone else wants to then the username is oobster.

I haven't passed the A part yet (got A7, A8 & A9 to go) though.

I had the same idea for playing with my mates, but it doess require an element of luck being matched up - but if you're interested I would be up for the challenge

Something to do with having blue teeth I think.

NO seriously - there is an option on the main menu saying "online"

Time trials (in arcade mode) are uploaded automatically

EDIT: OK Early signs are crap. Just learning the track (and trying toremember to change gearlaugh)

EDIT AGAIN: Jeezo it's like pulling teeth. In 12th with a 59.042. Hadn't realised the tii was sooo sllloooooooooowwwww

Wireless is built it. Can't really remember how I got in through network settings - I followed my nose - and if I can do it....

EDIT (for "humour" ) what is it your day off today biggrin

Anyway Norbury the beemer is a bit too slow for my tastes - but I am happy to see you in the lotus battle.... the ball is in your court smile

Get the TVR speed 6 and put it on pro and turn all the aids off if you want a challenge. you need a lot of throttle control.

More than a mere button can offer imo.

I have changed throttle and brake to the two back buttons, that offer a degree of versitility.

what if you aren't on wireless, only got PS3 yesterday, a present from my lovely wife, cleared the c class races in an hour or so but no decent cars or credit bank yet! What sort of cable do I need to buy to link the PS3 to the phone line and where do I get it from? Once it is connected, do I just turn it on and it is all online?

Do you have a router?

Or is it just a modem you are using?

If it is a router with multiple ports then just buy a cat5 patch cable, which depending on length should be less than a tenner.

Just plug it into the ps3 and go to network setup and it should auto it.

I have a broadband modem for my computer. Does that mean I need to buy a router that will take a cat5 patch cable and said cable and I will be in business? Can I get them from Maplin?

I used to understand technology, but it is all way over my head now. That said, once I am online, look forward to racing you all!

cheers

Yes, maplin will sotck all the items you need.

Which would be

1x router (netgear do, easy setup routers)
1x cat5 length depending on how far your ps3 is.

If he going to buy a router he may as well get a wireless one, and then it will not need the cat5 cable.

4th? I had a good 15 laps on it last night and was a good half second off my own pace. I think my time is the best i'm gonna manage.

Will give the other challenges a go later.

Wireless and any form of online gaming do not deserve to be in the same sentance.

scooby -

just won the BMW last night - are we running it in standard trim? As I'm not on line yet, but would like to give it a try, what are the laptimes for pro mode with no tuning? See if I am in the right ball park...
