just won the BMW last night - are we running it in standard trim? As I'm not on line yet, but would like to give it a try, what are the laptimes for pro mode with no tuning? See if I am in the right ball park...
Seems we are running pretty much whatever, just around the London forward course.
There are familiar names in standard and professional - and tuning is not accessible in arcade time trials.
I had done a 59.042 but was over a second off the pace (in standard)

EDIT: although I was up late last night drifting it. set a decent score, but I know I can get first place.

Ah once you can access the S-Class races you have the ability to quick tune - you can up the power, down the grip and fanny's-yer-aunt.

I have set a few times on each setup now, the Time Trial on Pro was frustrating me though, the car kept twisting and sliding when you just want to blast out of corners. Much better test of a good driver though.

Hehe. I was certainly "on it" last night. Got firsts in Suzuka standard in Tuned Elise and Dodge viper SRT (non-tuned) and improved considerably on my London scores.

Come to think of it even the drive home from work was rather caffeine-fuelled.

it was said a few posts earlier that you couldn't tune on time trial anyway? Are we comparing apples with apples here? I had a quick go, well about 8 laps actually, and could only get down to a 1:03 something with all aids off and pro mode, but then I have always driven with wheel and pedals since the original GT, not got wheel and pedals and only got basic controller so I was all over the place. Won't be attempting it again until I get wheel and pedals as I assume that is well of the pace? (can't go online yet to check)

You can quick tune when drifting, but not time trial in arcade mode. You CAN quick tune in time trial in the online events, though we are using the arcade time trials
Hope this clears up any misunderstanding

Added the times Zebedee, the outright best is 59.296 so our best is a good second off the real pace.

I've added my rank and name, been having a few attempts at this, can't seem to better my time though frown I'm finding the BMW understeers a lot, and I'm using a pad, excuses I know!

Handbrake always helps. I also use the sticks, I find the D-pad is more of an on/off kind of thing, not very good for modulating power and steering.

Are we all ready for a new car and track yet?

I picked the last combo so somebody else can choose this weeks.

Try and keep the car choice a bit sensible not everyone who is taking part has completed the game or bought all the car's.

Something around cr100,000 should be ok, post your choice's

I personally like the Corvette ZO6, I don't really mind though.

Sounds cool to me. Although I really do not mind either....
I noticw that Eiger Norwand (reverse), daytona road course & Fuji GT courses leaderboards are quite empty for the Corvette.

We had a quick go with that round London before the Beemer, we have probably been shoved down the rankings by now though. I think we just did Time Trial too.
