Forza 2 - PHGTC

I great race, but I was getting very pissed off with my connection last night. It was impossible to tell if the car in front of me was 1 or 100 metres away. What with that & then cars that one second were 100 metres behind were the next were hiting me, it was all fairly st
The GT's made up for it although again when I caught other cars or Alan caught me they were bouncing all over the place.
Thanks Virgin Media!!!

That went quite well then, 25 laps is the way forward and was fun however I saw and was involved in a couple of harsh passing manoeuvres we all need to remember that were all in different cars so some people will be quicker in places than others which means we all (me included) need to be patience and wait for a safer place to pass instead of just bumping people out of the way . Me and Gruffy had a couple because the fezza was a lot better under braking into that hairpin and he gave me a few love taps but then when I followed him in he was much better on the brakes and I went into him. Anyway cracking racing.
Good race, some of the passes did seem a little agressive which fustrated me a little but as the class is harder and the line between grip/no grip and being nurfed into the armco is much finer. I admit its hard to be patient when you see a gap!
I think what didnt help me was pitting on about lap 18 as i was watching the wrong tyre indicator and i thought mine were still green!

i know the comment above wasnt aimed at me but this is my take on it. wasnt last night a practise run after all so nothing serious? plus after spending over a hour in the focus the R3's where always going to be all over the place for the first few laps while everyone settles into themplus alot of xbox live conection issues so minor glitches and cars not bieng were they appear on "your" screen was deffo the cause of at least two of the shunts
I caused a couple of incidents during the race and I was a victim of a handful as well. I put it down to people learning the new cars and the fact that the margins for error are so much smaller with the R3 cars (and no TC). At these speeds (and with this sort of stopping power) a small difference in braking points means you close the distance pretty damn quick and it's all too easy to have a punt. Maybe a more few dry runs would be useful to help us learn the characteristics of the different car/driver combos.
There was some pretty decent driving too though – I remember Y2 and I being side-by-side through a sequence of about 3-4 corners and we both managed to leave each other just enough room.

don't get me wrong i thought it all went great and i am looking forward to doing it again soon. Just to confirm my comments were not aimed at anyone and i was just as guilty as anyone else for bumps and crashes. You have to admit that different tracks will suit different cars (as it should be)so there will be times when we all have to recognise that there is a slower car in front and take according action.
