Smoothness is the key with the BMW I found, yank the stick or wheel around and you can get into all sorts of trouble.Had a quick play around with it (no assists) and it can be tricky to master.I don't mind it minus any mods though, we had a go on a few tracks but it is perfect on Maple Valley long as it really suits the car.

I'd say to the original championship guys that we should leave this one alone for now. The whole idea of it was to give the people that didn't manage to get in on the other one a championship of their own! whistle

Filling up the missing slots is another thing, and I'm sure both leagues would be happy to cross post availible space on other threads.

Like this week for example, stumpyalans slot is available as he isn't taking part on wednesday if anyone is interested!

ETA: Here is a link to the Focus Championship.

I'd quite like to have one of the other champ enterants involved just to help steer this one in the right direction. Cross over is most welcome, whatever it takes to get the numbers and some great racing... at present it looks like we've got five or so who are pretty keen, so a few spaces for those who need even more of a forza fix. As for the Foci champ, I'll see when im working - I need live back though so I can update my membership!!

So, stock BMW E36 M3, night/time to be confirmed? This should be fun, have always steered clear of the beema as it looks like it handles badly. Will buy one tonight and get some practice driving

Cheers

So the list of interested parties is:

BCA - B3NCA
Digby - WestfieldKid
GrahamJ - ?
The Jackal - TheJackal GN
SirTainly - Sizel (Me)
LukeBird - LukeBird
Lozza s - Lozstack123
theboyfold - Penfold77
chriswright
stumpyalan
Matt N - m477man
Mikey-r - Mikey WHU
y2blade
delS1 - stirling lost

Which is 14 people, and too many for one championship, so how's about splitting into two groups ?
I'm prepared to sort out a second group if needed.

I am all ears for suggested times... I am pretty flexible for the moment.

Also, I think a few of those on the list are in the other championship - scrub out a few more who may not be able to compete on whatever set day and you only have enough for one championship!

I am struggling with the BM, but it does look superb when stickered up. thumbup

Guys,

We have 1 possibly 2 spare slots for the Ford Focus Championship this evening at 8pm (Formally the Golf GTi Championship). As some of our regulars can't make hopefully some of you could fill the slots this evening & keep the lobby full?

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

If you'd like to join us for tonights round of the championship then leave your GT on the thread above, be on-line at 8pm & someone will invite you in.

5 x 5 lap races around Suzuka in stock Ford Focus with all upgrades locked out.

Sunday's are usually good for me, except this one as West Ham are at home which means even if I get home for 9 I'll be somewhat under the influence!

Are we defo going with e36 M3's with no mods, no traction control and no ABS? Any suggestions for the first circuit so we can have a bit of practice? One of the Silverstone one's maybe?

M.

No ABS is a bit harsh, I use the pad and just cant get on with modulating the braking with it.

Fine with no TC and Stability though.

No ABS with the controller is fine! wink
Just don't use the full extent of the shoulder button and you won't lock under braking!

I'm not bothered time wise, I work shifts so I may or may not be around dependent on work each week! smile/frown
