Forza 2 - the alternative championship...
Discussion
Ok, we'll discuss next weekend. For the moment though, expect, at the least, two five lap races at Laguna Seca.
Possibly three at LS, possibly with another single race at mugello to make the championship completely balanced with the same amount of races/points at each round. As said though, we'll discuss it next weekend, when we're all able to chat about it in the same place at the same time.

On wednesday we do 5x5 lap races it gives everyone a go at winning. alan
Hmm, ok. 5 sounds a bit time consuming, I reckon we could do 3 rounds at each track... does anyone object to this? That would mean one more race at Mugello before three at Laguna Seca... I suppose it gives a better chance to all for atleast having a good grid position in one of the races! As always, let me know - if you're happy with just two, we'll do just two.. if three sounds better, we'll do three.

Lozza, a 1min39 is quick enough... I hate that track!
Luke, we'll do Mugello last around 9pm... for LS though, I may have to give your slot to someone else.
I was originally thinking of setting up the championship across ten rounds, with the best eight scores counting, thus allowing for a few missed races if circumstances force it. Does anyone object to this set up, its a little early in the season for it to be a concern, but it'll mean Lukebird can sit this one out at no disadvantage and allows a little more flexibility in the championships?
Just a thought...
Oh and whoever did the 1:37.9, thats got to be a nigh on perfect lap, I cant get close, but as I said initially, I dislike LS and it dislikes me. I'll get the racing drivers book of excuses out for sunday.

This is tonight at 8pm... 3x Laguna Seca, 1x Mugello... for all those wishing to possibly fill slots - please make sure you are on xbox live at 8pm. For those who already have slots, there is an additional race at Mugello tonight to be added to last weeks racing, so please try to make it on tonight, otherwise you're effectively losing two chances for decent points!
Good luck to all, I'll see you online later... go easy on me, LS is not a track I have ever been strong on.

Right, updated the original post... yikes my head hurts now... Sizel, we'll give your slot to Redbarron, he was the only person who responded to the open slots initially and so hes got a round's worth of points (and mugellos last race to add to the collection) so he's already well on its way. A very very generous decision, im sure Red's very happy to have the slot and we hope you'll join us all for some mess arounds at a later date?
I did a 1:36 - but it was the only "flying" lap I have done so far (G saw it...) Then I had work, something I have all week.
Will everyone please stop practising, its unfair, even if I had the time, its another track I am not massively keen on, so doubt I'd get many laps in anyway...
A quick observation is that lap times on this track, much like LS, need an absolutely clear track - its the fast sweepers that need the space for certain lines. Equally, there are properly tight corners, the likes of which will mean plenty of braking zone madness. It'll be an interesting one.

No worries Luke, I survived most of the little knocks without too much drama. Lots of fun trying to come from the back through... I am no longer sure the GT3RS had that much of an advantage under braking - it seemed to be the one area of the track I could reel everyone in, shame about the rest of the lap!
I knew it would be Geebsies round, I can never match him around Silverstone - and the late arrival Redbarron is proving to be a little unwelcome - sloooooow down!! I'll post up the results in a bit, but just want to say my thanks to everyone out there, was huge fun, before, during and after the races.
Top job by Geebsie to get two wins, jammy git... I knew I should have nudged you off on that first corner in the last race.
Great round... I think we'll be looking at Sebring (the 2mile one) next - anyone object or have other suggestions?
