Luke: I only had a similar amount of time on Monday to try the car/track. Hadn't ever driven the full circuit before but found the auto gears were a bit of a pain on the slower corners, they'd not drop down when you needed acceleration. Don't think I'll go to manual though.
Yeah the gearbox can be a pain, but I hate doing manual gears on a pad.
Once you've worked out the corners you can carry more speed through you can normally avoid the 2nd or 3rd gear dilemma and just carry speed through in 3rd!

Just found out I'm on a late shift now (was supposed to be doing an early) so anyone fancy a blast later this evening either for practice or just to meet up?

Evening all. I've been one of the regulars on the Wednesday night championships - but work commitments now mean I can't always get in time.
These PH races are great so I'm looking to see if there's a spare spot going here? Are you racing Sunday evenings? Say, 9pm?? I wasn't in the top runners in the last league so I'm kinda hoping you lot aren't pro-racers!!
I'm happy to help out and get things started setting up the lobby / cars / track etc
Can I bag a spot on the grid??

Hmm, tried a quick lap in the M3... very interesting. It is pretty difficult to keep neat out of corners and often finds itself between gears on a number of the slower corners (I use manual) - should be good fun.

Mat, I am just waiting for confirmation from Tim2100... if he cannot make it, then I should think it would be fine for you to have the eigth slot considering you're unable to race in the other league.
Cant speak for the others just yet, but I consider myself to be just about able to avoid getting lapped...

There is a little bit of time to be had off that. did a couple of laps yesterday, tricky car to get a laptime out of - will be very very interesting having 8 of them battling it out.

lets not get carried away with this practice lark*.- mainly as I spend far too much time at the moment building up my career mode so I can afford to buy and tweak cars! Have'nt had the game long, slowly getting back into the swing of things.
Righty; slight tangent ish.... does anyone have any cars with PH logos vinyled on?? If at all possible, can someone gift me one so I can copy the logos? Will gift the car back as soon as I have done this and it would be most appreciated.
I think it'd be great if we can have the logos on all cars as this is a PH championship afterall. Not long now people!
ooo also forgot to say, I doubt very much so whether fast laps will mean anything, I reckon with 7 other cars with exactly the same spec all piling into the corners - we should probably end up doing 2:20's!!
