Lap was full of minor mistakes but it was one of the few that wasn't ruined by the last chicane, I could go faster but I haven't the time, it took 16 laps to get that.

I never did like the Ruf's always found them difficult to drive.

laugh they are a bit tail happy,a wheel is required to control with economy tyres, must admit i cut the chicane a little on the fastest lap ! the fastest without cutting was 1,47,938

I did it with the pad and the buttons for throttle & brake, So I had to have TCS on otherwise I can't drive the thing at all, this slows it a little as well. Even so my lap really wasn't very clean and I could go faster if I made no mistakes.

just managed a 1:49.222 again no driver aids and on a pad as I don't have a wheel(tried them but cannot seem to get on with them in a game environment)

there is obviously some time to be made up as I did make a few mistakes but not sure if I will be able to shave much off.

I'm driving with no driving aids and a pad, I actually find it quite easy to modulate the throttle and brake... My lap was full of mistakes though, I went faster afterwards in a few places, but I can't make it stick for a whole lap!

I really love that car now though!

agree alex it is really good fun.

I am really enjoying the Ruf it is a car I completely overlooked before in the game.
Also I always used to play with the driver aids on but without its a whole new feel actually feel more immersed in the experience :-)

I've just done a 1:48.803 with a normal pad and no driver aids. took nine laps with lots of mistakes still to iron out. It's a strange car, most of the time it's horrible and then occasionally, when I get it right, it just seems perform perfect, slightly oversteery, 4 wheel drifts to every apex.

Any hints or tips, as to how I can get from 1:52.00 (ish) to 1:49.905?

I use a wheel... brake really early and turn in early to kill the understeer, don't let the oversteer build.

Edit: oh, and the 1:49 laps were oddities, my average laptime is closer to 1:52ish

It isn't going to help if I say I use the controller, is it?hehe

So brake early into the corners and fast out, pretty much like racing then.

Hehe yeah, um, basically try not to upset the car, it seems to get grumpy really quickly biggrin

Example is the left hand corner going into the long tunnel: My turn in point for that corner is the start of the shadow of the shorter bridge just before it.

New fastest lap for me: 1:48.829

EDIT: Oh, and I don't seem to be using full throttle very much!

1'49.803 now after another 10 laps and even that one had a minor crash in it and I was a bit wide on the long sweeping left section at the start, the next lap I was .5 sec faster in the long tunnel and then promptly spun it at the corner so there is more. Pleased to get under 1'50 though

If it helps, I rarely exceed 55mph through the second gear corners, over that the understeer just kills it...

My time was in GT mode. New car, no oil change... I don't think it makes a difference, but if everyone else is doing it in Arcade on Time Trial mode, my best there so far is 1:47.637.

EDIT: 1:46.428 in arcade
