Excellent racing all round chaps, a terrific start to the new season.

Qualified in 4th with my PB lap, cleaned up my entry to T2 which made a big difference. Also last lap turned up my braking strength and that also helped going in to the final hairpin.

Got a decent start and kept my position, then FWD got a bit excited and lost the back end allowing me to pass into third with Yogi in hot pursuit. Had a good fight with Yogi (sorry for all the bumping paperbag and Altrezia eventually making too many mistakes dropping back to 6th.

Second race was better in as far as no mistakes, somehow managed to carve a way through a massive pileup at the end of the first lap promoting me to third behind Yogi and Holst. Slowly managed to close the gap before Yogi messed up the hairpin. Had about two laps fixed to the bumper of Holst before out braking into the hairpin (yes yes it was an overtake Holst wink) Pulled out a second or two gap before settling on a decent lap pace and drove it home to victory - woo hoo !!

Race results updated, server changed to Cadwell. Roll on next week !

we seem to have a problem with cars ghosting etc, is teamspeak enabled? it might be causing it? can you disable it?
Should be on a different server - will disable it once i get online.
Teamspeak now running again (different server) - the issues with the game server was due to a different account user hogging all the CPU capacity. Their account is being terminated this week, so the problems should go away then.

Oh, and IF it is wanted I have a little something to give back to all. Will only take about 2 mins to personalise everybody's car but I do remember something being said about all cars individual.
Cheers Ricepilot, personnaly I'm happy with the current format and creating new skins is a bit of hasstle as everyone needs to have the same file on their PC's and the server. Perhaps we can sort this out for the following series ?

I'm going on the server to practice around 12:00 if anyone fancies teaching me the correct lines - I've not had a chance to practice this circuit yet.

I'm down to 1'20 now, but the chicane is a little *ecker and I keep crashing.

Should be a good race though.

I've got to call it a night.

As for FPS, I was getting between 140 and 210. So no issues there. 8 of us online.

We can try again in the week / next weekend if you want ?

Well an enjoyable evening for me marred by my own reluctance to know when I'd been outclassed!

Race 1, got a decent start and was sitting pretty in third on lap two when I clipped the inside curb after the long straight. Eventually managed to stop the car but rejoined in last place.

Then just drove at a decent pace and watched everyone else fall off. The last few laps I was closing in on Altrezia and at the line it was just a couple of hundredths - one more lap and I think I could have snatched third!

Race 2, again a good start up to third with PV doing his usual banzai, so much so he hit the mountains and I drove under his spinning car - actually I think that might have been race 1 as I remember driving under someone in race 2 also. Anyway, in first with a 5 second lead over Morph when I see that change to FWD, 5s, 4s, 2s then all over me. Tried desperately to maintain position but on the last lap coming into the mountain section FWD took me after a poor exit from the chicane and I stupidly didn't brake when I should have. Cue clip the inside of the verge and shoot me off to the right.

Somehow managed to pull it out of the trees and rejoin just ahead of Andy in 3rd place.

Mallory should be an easier track to learn!

An unexpected result for me in Race 1 - somehow leading from early on I had the majority of the race trying to keep ahead of an obviously quicker Andy. On this type of circuit, it does not matter how quick you are, it's all about passing (and I’m good at making my car wide wink)

Eventually my tyres all turned yellow and had to brake earlier and earlier, which caught Andy out and pushed us both off at the hairpin. FWD and Adam both passed and Andy sportingly waited for me to rejoin in third. More pressure from Andy straight away but luckily for me he made a mistake on the following lap at the hairpin which let me off the hook.

Race 2, a great start once again, but no mirrors! That was annoying. Quickly got up to the front and had a good few laps with Altrezia before clipping his wheel coming out of the hairpin - spitting me off the track. Rejoined in 6th but made a couple more mistakes and went down to 10th, a few more people spun off letting get back up to 7th. The only problem was that I saw the time hit 0 minutes, finished my lap and did the usual drive at speed at a brick wall - only to find out there was 1 more lap left AARRGGG. Eventually finished up in 10th I think.

I really must practice before turning up to race....

Well done to all the people who got out of the way when being lapped - I've been there and I know how frustrating it is spending most of the time looking behind you rather than what’s in front.

Results updated, FWD and Adam building a bit of a lead, the rest of us must try harder wink

Excellent video - it's great when someone takes the time to do this sort of thing.

Best bit for me was reliving the moment where I drove under a flying car for the second time in the same weekend !

Would you be able to send me a copy of the file and I can upload to our web server for posterity.

Can you host the file ? for me to grab it - otherwise I'll send you some login info for the PH webshare server for you to upload.

Also on the point of Driver Etiquette, Adam and I are pulling something together to issue out to everyone, so we all know the basics.

Ok, just about to issue out the Driving Etiquette, take a minute to read - then delete or if you've been particularly unfriendly to the environment take your printed copy and recycle it smile

Let move on.

Post up your times for Snetterton - long gears and low wing settings I think are in order wink
