Have to say, this rFactor lark is becoming a joke. When the server list ever does populate (which is only about half the time) the PH server is almost never there.

When I add the PH server IP and try to join I get "join timed out".

If I fire up my X-box I will be playing online in under 2 minutes. Why can't PC gaming work that well?

"Current session closed".

Don't blame you guys for not waiting, I'm off to do something better with my time than stare at the fking stupid rFactor menu saying "internet update started".

We let the qualy and warm-up run all the way through which was about 15mins I think or more if the qualy was 15 not 10mins.

With direct ip it doesn't always find it first time, but only takes a couple of updates at most before it finds it. Seemed ok tonight though. Maybe it's your isp or something else network related...? scratchchin

If it's not in the lobby list, IP it, if that doesn't single out the server it makes it appear in the list.

Sorry dobbo, we waited the 5min warmup but assumed you had a internet problem.

I added the server into the rfactor favorites and its always listed there and connecting that way is more reliable.
Using the server list is a joke, it never works for me.

These TVRs are very good biggrin
Well done FWD biggrin

I think they will make a great series, much more fun than anything else we have raced recently.
In the last race me and FWD were within half a second of each other for 5 laps at cadwell. With a full grid these cars will be awesome.

I could get the server to appear using the IP, but every time I tried to join it just said "join timed out". I'm sure it's my connection to blame but the xbox works fine.

Moving house in a week or two anyway so likely won't have a connection for a while, but I'm up for a TVR series.

I know we have kinda intimated that the Tuscans will be our next series but just to throw something else into the pot.

Found this lurking on a Russian site last night.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c...

Tried it and its superb, especially so, the sounds.

Download the build 1.1 and then patch it with the 1.3

Worth a try with some practice races at the very least?

The cars do seem fairly evenly matched from the times I was doing last night (in GT1 cars only). Will have to do some laps in the GT2 cars to see how they compare.

Just noticed as we're now in 2010, perhaps we should start a new thread...? Or at least edit the title of this one! smile

Once we have the new series decided, I'll set up a new topic smile

So what do people want to run tonight - are we decided on the Tuscans for the next series ? If so do you want to come up with the track list ? I guess limit the series to 9 weeks ?? Dual race format with success ballast as before ?

On the tracks, how about.... seeing as there are about 9 of us who race, each one of us gets to Vote for one track? we all have fairly similar tastes anyway smile

I will start the ball rolling

Donington (and hope someone picks Goodwood smile)

There will be a small update before we start the league. I am making a couple of little edits, like adding a pit lane limiter so that you won't get another stop & go if you speed in the pits during a race.

Will post the file on here when done, all you will need to do is put it in the Tuscan Challenge folder and let it overwrite the old one.

Another vote for the Tuscans here.

I would also prefer it if we had fixed setups on the cars and less weight penalty than the last series.

My track choice would be Bathhurst

+1. Or perhaps very limited setup changes.

My track choice would be knockhill biggrin
