I haven't got any so far. Guild business on my server seems to be going as usual. Probably because it's a RP-server people aren't to bothered about guild levels and perks.

I got all my chars in my main's guild or my bank guild so don't get them.

I have however stopped playing my druid. After 3.5 years I just really dislike it. Tanking feels just bad, I don't have enough utilities to do my job well enough and I'm finding it hard to heal without letting dps die as I just can't afford the mana. I'd like to have that lil bit extra mana to be able to save the pleb that didn't move out of aoe or whatever than to just have them die.

So I've just been pvping on my shadow priest which is immensely fun and recently been collecting some healing gear to maybe see about switching my main over as my druid is not raid ready and I don't think will be for a very long time.

If you pug or play with talentless nubs then HC instances will really challenge your mana. With a littl work on gear though you'll be sorted and druid healing is currently pushing Holy Pally for best heals. At least in HC instance gear. Once toons are in fully epic gear Priests are topping the throughput but shammies need a little love.

Running normal 85 and HC dungeons the rep gain is quick so you'll easily have 3+ epics without spending your hard-earned g in the AH.

Most fights need a lot of movement from the healer and druids excel at this.

We're now raiding and are 4/12. Spent a frustrating night on Maloriak on Sunday - server lag was back and there's a 1s cast that must be interrupted. Wiping on 4% was a little frustrating.

Started raiding last week downing 4 bosses. Added Conclave of Winds and Maloriak last night to Halfus, V&T, ODS and Magmaw.

Ret DPS is absolutely terrible against equivalently geared melee. Fortunately tanking provides some respite.

I've not used my WoW account for a good year now but just got an email saying it's been close due to terms of use violation, something to do with the economy. Is account hacking common in WoW?

I never really got into it so didn't have any high level characters which is a good job really as the characters on the account have all been deleted.

Sounds like someone got hold of your username and password, and then used your account to "bot" or gold trade, plus selling off any of your gear.

Might be worth yourself *how* they got your details - key loggers are quiet common, as are false emails that look like they are from Blizzard.

I'd suggest a couple of decent virus scans on your machine.

Be careful with those emails, there are a lot of spoofed emails pretending to be from blizzard which will direct you to an identical website to login, it is there you will get your account stolen.

Ah okay, I've sent Blizzard an email about it so will see what happens.

Sorry, yes, it could be that the email concerned is a spoof in itself.

Have you tried logging on to your account through the Blizzard portal? (not through the email link, obviously)

This is the most common. Phishing is where it's at.

In-game messages from players pretending to be Blizzard Gms are very common at the moment directing you to fake sites.

I got about 6 emails from 'blizzard' on my hotmail account asking me to click a link to "us.blizzard-support-wowaccount.in". Luckily they were identified as spam.

To be fair, anyone who uses the internet should know how to spot that kind of obvious phishing.

Same here. Started by guild mid way through Wrath so it's nice starting from afresh.

We've downed Magmaw, Omnitron, Atramedes, Conclave, Halfus and V&T so far.

We ended Wrath in the Top 20 on our server for 10-man with a hard-won Lich King HC kill. We're now 7 bosses in + Baradin Hold.

Not really as epic feeling as Ulduar but a decent start to the expansion.

Hating Ret DPS right now, not just on it's pathetic numbers but also the lack of flow and consistancy to it.

Tanking is a different story though and an average iLvl of 354 is amking daily HCs a doddle and the raids possible.

I had this too.
I went on, got my password reset, started the account recovery process then got an e-mail within 10 mins saying my password had been changed again. This happened about 10 times over 2 days until I eventually reset everything from a different pc.I had run 2 different virus checkers and a spyware checker and still couldnt stop the feckers hacking my account. Blizzard were about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

O/H and I got Cata after christmas and as we hadn't been folling the changes were completely lost.

She's still leveling and I've not long hit 85.

Got to say I'm a bit disapointed with the "Cata" content so far;

5 new levels,
a handful of new instances,
1 new profession,
everything is a grind: rep, professions

But the overall feel is much more enjoyable than Wotlk, the quests were excellent. Did a lot of Vashj and Hyjal but barely touched on any other areas so far as there seemed no need for the XP, will do at a later date for gold/enjoyment/Lore.

No idea what the hit caps are so DPS is a bit bizzare, Tanking is fine but knowing where the gear is is a different question...

So generally happy with Warriors, Heroic Leap needs sorting though! Can't even hop a puddle with it! biggrin

If you expand the right pand on your char profile in game you can see your hit %. Mouse over this and it'll show you what that means in terms fo your level and those immediately above it.

Basically melee need 8% hit to be capped at 85 for raid bosses. Somewhat less for normal and HC instance stuff (except the last bosses in all HCs which are the equivalent of raid level bosses. Oddly).

So far my view is that everything about the expansion is an improvement on the previous one in terms of the mechanics. The questing is a particular joy although the required rep grinds are a pain.

I've got two 85s, three 83s and one 82 and still enjoy the questing!

6 instances isn't bad for this release, not as good the TBC was but about the same as Wrath. Hopefully there will be new ones released that're challenging in 4.1 but we're a way off that at the moment!

So you are disapointed with the content and love the questing? The questing sequences and phasing is amazing; I've nearly finished Twighlight Highlands (completed all non instance quests in the other 4) and I've been very impressed. Not touched an instance yet and found it a much more fun way to level.

Harrison Jones and Uldum is my favourite I think, though the end of Hyjal was also fun.
