I'm in, managed to get a 1.04.?? last night which I was pretty pleased with, top 1% on forza, then I looked at the times posted here realised I'm fairly way of the pace. Must try harder. Some of you lot are st-hot at this.

Most the kerbs can just be run over. The main difficult one is the fast kerb on the left, where you need to turn right just before the tunnel. Cut that one gets the penalty, and risks you flying into the wall if you hit it bad.

Tip: Make sure you get a clean run into the lap, and if you mess up here hit rewind until youre back behind the start line (prob twice only). You just get to rego at the course again so you dont need to commit to a lap until you get through the tunnel.

Edit: Dont do this immediately after your best lap, as rewind back over the finish line will remess up your previous laps time!

If you select someone from the leaderboard, it should give you the option to race their ghost.
I think there is an option turn to on/off your own ghost in the HUD options while in game. (i'm not sure i'll check when i get home)

Nice one, cheers Nick. I found the leaderboards and tried to race against another ghost, but when it launched there was no ghost! just a target time.

I'll have another look in the HUD options next time i get a chance.

woohoo! found the ghost setting (you were spot on BTW nick, it's in the pre-race HUD settings, cheers!)

Managed to shave another 1.2 sec off... down to a 1:02.475 now... more time to be shaved to i reckon Have gone quicker but that damned exclamation mark keeps appearing :P


ETA: Have just spotted a slight typo in table above ... it's JimByrne and J1MBYRNE (not that it really matters of course but just thought i'd mention it )

My 1:06.949 is a clean lap. It got changed to something else lastnight, I didn't change it but somebody might have picked up a faster bad lap time somehow, and then took it off because it wasn't clean.

?? The time i have for you is 1:06:175 as your fastest lap so don't know what you mean about the 1:06:949

Having done a 1.04 dirty what have ppl done to upgrade the car? I went for weight reduction, brakes and grippy tires...thinking getting round the corners is where i'm loosing out. But...if i follow a fast ghost i cant see where the 4 secs gets shaved - well...i can see it...its when the ghost buggers of and leaves me! I mean, i cant see how their car does it...if i brake sooner they corner faster and if i brake later i run wide.

Put me out of my misery....tell me i have overlooked the "elise on rails" upgrade

I found that adding the rear spoiler and front splitter and adjusting the aerodynamics for maximum downforce made the biggest difference. Play with the gear ratios too, I went with lower gearing to get out of the bends quicker.
Also loosening the rear diff stops the rear wheels spinning. I dropped the suspension the full way and stiffened up the shocks.
Change the camber too, I went for -1.7 front +.7 back.
I don't know what the 58 second guys are doing my best is 1:00:208 but I've put in several 59s but the icon of doom came up for them.

Think the boards gone wrong somewhere down the line, and Identitycrisis got put next to my xbox names instead of the name below.

But yeah, it amuses me a little to see a different car amongst the Elises. I tried a bit last night and got an unofficial 58 but im looking safe for 2nd this week so itll stay how it is now I think.
