Don't know how reliable the news is but there will be 2 map packs, one of "classic MW1" maps (crash, shipment, downpour and another one, can't rebember what) and a new map pack of new maps silly. Xbox get it first on March 14th and PS3 way later on June 22nd furious Can't come soon enough for me as I'm a bit bored with the MW2 maps.

I just wish all the wimpy children would stop voting to pass on Derail whenever I play online as it's the best map in the entire game. Excellent for snipers. wink

They all leave the room in droves before the game starts whenever I've been waiting to start a game for there.

To be honest, i'd rather they tried to sort out some major problems online before releasing and charging for more maps that are just going to be neglected.

Hmmmm, DLC already on the disk?

Are the maps already there too? And you just pay to unlock the extra bits?

As has been said above, I just wish they would fix this game before releasing more bits. Must admit that i'm a bit pissed off with the attitude of Infinity Ward at the moment. Also haven't played the game for about a month as it was annoying me a tad too much. smile

Wouldn't suprise me to be honest a lot of game designers are doing this and releasing a update of a few kb's to unlock the content on the disk.

It seems IW are having there own internal problems - http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3178175
Activision seem to have abducted/fired there head people hehe

Not sure where you got the dates from?

But the PS3 is only 30 days behind the Xbox release.

Yep, as of Tomorrow I don't think I'll need to load MW2 again - I have played it a bit whilst the BF2:BC Demo is off-line BUT when I play I get the same lag, cheats, and irritations which made me stop playing the game in the first place.

I guess the reason why they have done it this way is that this makes money whilst fixing all the cheats etc. costs money..

Heavy Rain is currently taking up my time, shortly to be followed by BF BC2 I think. Can't see much time for MW2 in the near future so may trade it in for BC2. I say I may do, just depends on how I feel on the day and how much I get for it. smile

Me and a couple of mates tried to have agame last night and couldnt get on. Just sat in the lobby trying to find a game.

Once i've finished the single player on veteran and all the spec ops missions it will be getting sold.

My sources are basically scouring the internet and forums. As I said don't know how reliable they are. I would also like to see the basic online games made more "cheat proof" and glitch free. When the game first came out I would get 20-30 kill in a game but now it's more like 10. The fking sniping and camping culture that has developed is frustrating and boring, not to mention the tts that hide in a glitch get 30 kills then drop a nuke.

Well I'm still enjoying it - having some connection problems at the moment but I can cope with that.

Looking forward to some new maps though.

I still think the maps on 4 are better than any on 6.

Have you played Battlefield: Bad Company 2 though?

I deleted the Bad Co 2 demo the other day. Don't think I'll be buying it - doesn't flow as well as MW2. Great sound effects though

Yeah I did, i've still got the demo on my hard drive - i just can't get into it.

Maybe its the fact its a bit more simulation that MW2?

I don't think i'll be buying it, but we'll see how things go.

There are definitely cool aspects to it (like the UAV thingy), but I find it really hard to rack up the kills unless I'm in a vehicle.

I also don't think it moves the game on much from Bad Co 1...feels more like an add on than a new game

I get loads of kills (and usually am the highest scoring player in my team) - play Assault and have lots of ammo/40mm and grenades... I also enjoy blowing up tanks, zipping along on a quad bike etc... And flying the AH-64.. And spotting the enemy.. And working as a team to complete the objective - the other day I sat in a tank blowing seven shades outta the enemy base - with an engineer sat repairing the tank and a medic assisting him, we utterly destroyed the enemy. It was superb...

And with EA Servers, I don't get the MW2 Lag - which is heaven !

Oh, and I have had quite a few games with K/D Ratios of 5 and more... 42 kills for 6 deaths was fun.
