I hated this demo as did so many others when I first played the demo. Over the last week I am slowing (and reluctantly) warming to this demo. I believe the demo default has full traction control on and the longest wheel base available set at 1500. The wheel base in the game is said to be shortened to 1200 and this will make a huge difference to the handling. I cancelled my pre order at the weekend but have since changed my mind and reinstated the order and am now looking forward to getting my hands on the full game next week. Those of you that have been involved with the GP series I would suggest give it another go and hopefully you too will start to warm to it as I have.
good info, thanks
I will have to get hold of the full game and give it a proper try on better settings

Also converted, the problem is when you play it, its so so different from any previous game, but then you give it some more time, and you realise different aint always worst, im enjoying it now, dare i say im prob gonna buy it.

I came on here to see if there was any chatter about MotoGP 09/10 and saw this thread.

The first few comments made my heart sink, I'm the lead programmer on the title and now TD on the next one.

The reaction on here is exactly the same as on the official forums and xbox addicts. Hated it at first and then started to warm to it and now love it in certain cases.

A lot of the team including myself have worked on the Climax/THQ games (that was a big part of why we got the contract I think smile)

The direction of the project was to make a MotoGP game appeal more the the mass market without losing the hard core fans. We think we have achieved that but we might be biased wink

20 player online at a solid 60Hz on both platforms might be worth playing it for?

Anyway I'm off for a beer but I'd be happy to hear all opinions on the game and demo from people on here.

Was that Championship mode or Arcade? It might be the tyre wear kicking in.

perhaps was championship mode, also why in qualifying and practice the bikes on track are lapping at like 1.50 pace over taking everywhere then when you do a 1.57 at end your pole position??

Also top speed of your bike is below, the ones on track especially on harder difficulty settings?

Few niggles i think, maybe im being picky.

Growing on me too, but only wish that someone would produce TT for the Xbox. First couple of laps it was terrible and I'll be honest and say that I didnt enjoy the 125s as the bikes are far too sensitive to lean over, however the MotoGP TT is much better. The tuck option gives that feeling of speed.

Is there a reason why I can play any car game known to man and several other bike games with no real issue, but I find this almost impossible? It feels like you breath on the steering and that is the difference between sitting bolt upright, or trying to grind your handlebars into the tarmac.Surely trying to go round a simple sweeping corner, should not be 1000% harder than the very first time I rode a real motorbike! I spent so much time trying not to move the stick too much, that I would go straight on and mess the corners up, yet if I moved the stick a few thousandths of a mm, I would veer off onto the grass. Is it some kind of biker game joke I don't get or what, or am I missing a sensitivity setting?

I know I may get told to practice, but then I could also practice and become good at playing games with the pad upside down and by looking at the tv in the reflection of a mirror - but it wouldn't be enjoyable! biggrin

Are you finding the same problem with the GP bikes or is it just the 125's?

125's are worse, but not having much luck on the biggun's either! I can get in a semi decent lap, but it's not pretty or fast.
I have played several bike games and enjoyed them, but this just feels like the pad is broken.I just don't understand why it's so extreme. Are all the moto GP games like that?
