I wonder whether any COD4 maps will be returning in this one, and I imagine the PS3 version will follow a month later again?

It's a shame that they charge so much and release so many map packs, which means if you don't shell out you don't get the game that others have.

and that's a rehash of a cod 2 map. Talk about milking it.

No Chinatown, but Strike and Vacant are reappearing.

"Containing five maps - three of which entirely new and two of which are ported from the first Modern Warfare title, Call of Duty 4 - the Resurgence Pack will be priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points (roughly £10) and will raise the total number of available maps to 26.

The trio of new maps are described briefly as follows:

Carnival: a fairly-big "desolated amusement park".
Trailer Park: a run-and-gun map ideal for HQ players, features "super tight corridors" and is described as "a maze to get through".
Fuel: an oil refinery that's said to function as "another sniper haven".
Joining the new playing fields are two classics ported from the first Modern Warfare; Vacant and Strike. According to Bowling, the revisited maps feature "really cool details that we changed", as well as "new visuals, new atmosphere and a lot more detail"."

Just been speaking to a mate who is far more into the games world than I am, and he reckons Infinity Ward will cease to exist just after this map pack, and MW2 will carry on completely unsupported. This appears to be a decision taken because of all the Activision trouble.

He has also read that Activision has bought Bungie from Microsoft.....

I like vacent, was a really good map for the mp5 to go hunting in, or shotguns..

On regard to them updating the cod4 maps, if anyones played mw on crash and went to the building in the bottom left, you'll notice how spartin it is, now its got a tv and books and all sorts,

I just wish they would bring back crossfire and bog. frown

Best maps in MW imo.

I'm guessing those shots were taken on PC... the quality is excellent.

It goes without saying that the price is a rip-off for the maps especially when they're just recycling the old ones still... yet I'll probably end up buying them anyway.

at the end of the day we shell out more money. Why? Because we want to play a game we love. Thats how i see it. If we weren't so arsed about it we wouldnt bother.

Think this looks a good un, I know they have rehashed some old maps AGAIN, but I have actually really enjoyed playing Crash again on the previous release.

Me too, they have given the old maps a lick of paint but it's great playing them again. TBH I find that it isn't such bad value as when I got rid of COD4, I had about 14 days on multiplayer.

Suppose some new guns would be too much to ask Infinity Ward for? frown
