Any tank that has all its crew killed (not just injured) is out of the game, no matter whether you have 2 or 6 crew members. Obviously less likely to have >3 out but I have seen a T95 and IS3 with all dead crew.
I have had this once but I cant remember which tank it was.Version 8.1 test now out - British tanks available for anyone wanting a preview of them before the main game update.

I am finding it tough with the KV4. Really need the top gun.
After a fair few games I have stated using consumables and so far they seem to pay for themselves. Manual fire extinguisher, small repair kit and small med kit for 3k each seem to work well. Only use when we could win and tank is not too damaged but so far so good.

I finally got around to buying the Panther, elited it with free exp, moved the crew from the DB and fitted a rammer and vents.
First game I got this
Victory!
Battle: Himmelsdorf 12 October 2012 21:11:32
Vehicle: PzKpfw V Panther
Experience received: 3,408 (x2 for the first victory each day)
Credits received: 40,324
Battle Achievements: Sniper, Master Gunner, Sharpshooter, Mastery Badge: "1st Class"

Finally researched the Object 261 arty, deals a fair wallop with a decent degree of mobility as well.
Currently going down the SU100M1 line, whilst still grinding my Object 704 for the 268. Quite like that M1, the alpha damage is pretty low but it's quick, rapid-firing and punchy.
The higher tier Russian TDs can be devastating if you have someone protecting your flank. Played with one today in fishermans bay and we totally tore apart all the enemy heavies between us (well he did, I just scared them off from trying to get behind him!). Meanwhile the other 13 members of the team, well 11 to be fair to the arties, lemminged down the other side and walked over their 5 meds.Currently going down the SU100M1 line, whilst still grinding my Object 704 for the 268. You can buy a shedload when they're half price and hope not to run out before the next offer is on, I've still got 100 in my depot so that will last a while. After a fair few games I have stated using consumables and so far they seem to pay for themselves. Been playing my two tier 6 M4s a lot tonight as the offer is on, annoyingly I'm still only at mastery badge 2 in the E2 even though I've had 150 games and a maximum of 1400XP in it!
It's nice when this happens though - front of the tank is a complete mess and I'm still at 100% health
Took 30 odd hits that game, was the soul survivor defending, they got the cap to 80 as the timer ran out (I was bravely reversing away at the time).

Still enjoying the Loltraktor. Thought this was quite a good result considering it was a tier 2 game with just a few tier 1s on each side. Actually managed 9 kills, but I didn't do a screen save after scrolling down in the results panel.
Thats a good result, anything north of a base 1000 xp (without premium account or first game win) is exceptional with a Traktor. I love playing it, great fun.
Getting stuck into the Arty now. Had a frustrating game where I was pounding a KV with the SU26 , kept getting "penetration" but no bloody damage.
Got "Master Gunner" but only around 60 XP. After the game, straight into Tech Tree, upgraded to 122mm Howitzer.
Literally first shot in the next game with the new tool, one shotted a M3 Lee , then proceeded to take out others and cause much indignation.
Is it normal for Arty users to get abuse? I reckon I've had more abuse in the past 10 or so arty games than I've had in the past 100 or more.
All good fun, the Arty game reminds me very much of Microprose's M1 Tank Platoon , which dates me a bit, great fun, really enjoying it.
Interesting the 8.1 update, will allow credits to be used to buy prem rounds, considering thats the only reason I buy gold, it sounds good to me.

Can't amke up my mind if that's a good thing or a bad thing, it's going to mean a lot more people using premium ammo.DIW35 said:

That's a good result, then I made the mistake of looking up the highscore for a loltraktor.link 13kills 2355xp generalgrant

Test server is hilarious! Everyone is running around in tier 10 British meds and heavies! (other than the usual mix of t8 arty). Thinkit will calm down soon.
Discovered the British T10 heavy has the perfect silhouette behind which to hide a batchat and shoot over is front mantle. Played Himmelsdorf and waited for a min before rushing the base to find the arty. Killed a couple and then hid behind one of their AFKs taking out (with help) anybody who came close. I think they were too worried to shoot as it would be a straight blue TK as he was still in their cap
Re credits for gold. Hope this doesn't really take off - it's a major expense at least and you only need a few games on the test to figure it makes the game less fun. Everything penetrates, which might sound cool at first, but the same is happening to you. Less need for skill to shoot the right spot, just point vaguely in the direction of the tank and fire. It just turns the game into a rush for cover followed by a mass brawl. Hopefully most will keep a few shells in the bag for those just in case moments...

Why have they ruined the tech trees?
(just got internet back after 1 month offline due to house move)
new sounds and graphics are good though.
I thought the sounds were pretty poor actually. The tracks now sound like the Wheel of Fortune clacking around. Some of the gun fire sounds are a bit iffy too. My OH was playing in the next room the other day, and from where I was sitting, one of the guns in her game sounded like someone bashing away on a typewriter. I have no idea what tank or gun it was, but it certainly didn't sound like gunfire.(just got internet back after 1 month offline due to house move)

It would be interesting to hear how much difference you think the top gun makes when you get it, I only played a few games with the 122mm before using free exp to upgrade to the Zis. I felt the 122mm just didn't hack it in tier 9 & 10 games and really didn't fancy the grind. After a fair few games I have stated using consumables and so far they seem to pay for themselves. I'm only 16k exp off the ST-I and although I haven't hated the KV-4 I find it too situational to be a real fun tank. In the right game in a city it's great, I got the 'Ace Tanker' badge for mine on Ruinberg last night, an open map with any level of big arty and I seem to spend most of my time avoiding ( or failing to avoid ) being hit to get a good game out of it.
fk me there's some muppets in this game. Just scored 89 in my SU5, and was the 5th highest scorer on my team. I got taken out by T50 who came right through our base (the northern one in Serene Coast) in the opening few minutes of the game. There was a B1 sat next to me who ran a way from him before being killed by the T-50 who went on to total 5 kills and over 1000 points.
Then again maybe it's me, I've just lost top tier games in the KV1, KV1s and T150 as well
