The rumour mill is also saying that when you RPG or AT4 a tank it MAY only kill the personnell on that side, giving the others a chance to flee.

Also sniper scopes facing the sun will give off "glare" so that having your back to the sun will be an advantage. Hopefully no more crap wookies just spoiling your team.

I think the LMG suppression is a great idea as well. I’m looking forward to a good old spray session to keep their health and heads down.

Indeed .. the fact that they have added bipod and made the LMG less accurate on the run v BC2 should also mean the assualter is the damn assualter again, it gets tiring being outgunned by medic !

Hopefully not. RPGs (IIRC) were designed to punch through armour and spray the interior with small bits of metal to slice through the inhabitants....

And here is a very pretty video

It's all stuff seen before, just with added slowmo and music.

If we're talking weapons like RPG-7, they are just basically just fragmentation grenades on a rocket. They pierce soft skinned vehicles etc, but in BF your going to be hitting american armour with them, they wouldn't touch modern APC's, Light tanks or M1's.

AT4's are different, they are designed to be Anti-Vehicle/Tank, but BF has always tried to balance things, so the RPG will probably act the same as the AT4.

Anyone know the cheapest/best place to pre-order this for the PS3?

Cant say where the cheapest place to pre order for PS3 is. All I know is that based on past experience avoid 'play' for pre-orders.

I've preordered from Amazon for the PC and it was £29.99 inc delivery. I know that console version are always more expensive though

BF3 is coming - 25th October. Be ready. bounce

If I don't pre-order but just buy on the day of release, do I still get the same stuff or is there stuff which is only for a pre-order?

There is an extra map pack if you pre-order, that you can still get afterwards but would have to pay for.

Am i right in saying infinity had a hand in this game.

I remember reading about infinity ward and activation having problems, the team responsible for the modern warfare titles.

If so, this will be an unbelievable game :-)

Map pack? So not just a map but a few?

Wonder how much it will be to pay for as it might end up being cheaper to get it say from ASDA for £25 on the day then spend £8 on a map pack than to pre-order it...

They have said it will be an expansion akin to Vietnam rather than just a few more maps (4 from BF2 redone I think). I assume that means there will be different weapons and such based on those in Battlefield 2. If the pricing is similar to Vietnam it will be about £10.

Hmm, it's a tough call then, as I might be able to get it £15 cheaper... BUT then one of the superstores might not do it for £25. And then pre-order might not arrive for weeks after the release date...... Arrrghh....
