It seems to me like they have decreased the OOB areas that the enemy team could be safe.

Well, baseraping is generally frowned upon. It's shooting into the default spawn where the enemy isn't supposed to be able to access.

If you're just getting killed spawning onto flags, or squadmates, the onus is entirely on you to make sure you're not jumping into a firefight.

Anyone else having connection issues, I keep getting dropped out of a game and then can't connect back into any servers. Xbox btw.

Sounds like its a console thing. Most complaints about lag/connections/spawn rape appear to be whines from them.

Get a PC and enjoy BF3 played properly

sorry to hijack here but a quick search for bf3 only gave this thread.
i play cod quite actively and have ordered the new blops2.
i in the last few months have started to snipe on a good few maps but with the new perk set up for blops2 and the fact that stationery will be seen by uav i am thinking of jumping ship too bf3.
ive never played it before and dont really know what i need to buy, ie the game itself but what packs will i need and what costs are involved.
i only play dom on cod games as i can then flag camp/protect to a degree in the maps that are not sniper friendly.
i can run and gun but at 50 i can only do it in phases ie 3 games r and g a then snipe or flag camp.
im i suppose just looking for a more sniper friendly game and i dont think blops2 will be so if anyone can give me a few pointers on what to buy for bf3 and am would i be doing the right thing.
i only play multiplayer and only play alone ie billy no mates.

I play both...I don't think you'll enjoy BF3.

really chris? Its sniper friendly however you do need to 'spot' things when being a sniper. Its more of a 'recon' role that just camping. You need to use your perks to help your team and you can cover your team mates that are capturing points.

Its perfect if you only play Domination as there is a game mode for flag capturing.

It was a fking joke....spawn...sniper shot...dead....spawn...sniper shot...dead....spawn...sniper shot...dead...I was killed immediately after re-spawning on the so called "random" spots about 15 times on the trot.

Team Death Match..... there is your problem, last night was the 3rd time ive ever played it. You need to play conquest or the other one (the name escapes me) where you have to capture the 2 MCOM's and move up the map.

I will be on saturday morning and can go through it with you if you like?

That's pretty rare tbh. If it'a really bad though, just leave the game and find another.

Ah, you need the rocket pods really. I find them much easier than the ones on the chopper actually, as you can line up straight and empty the whole lot, whereas you can't just line up the nose of a chopper.
The hard bit is spotting the vehicles from a jet in the first place! That, and if you take rocket pods, you're easy prey for other jets, unless you're an ace dogfighter with the gun.

no no, last night (Team death match) is awful. The game (and maps)are made to work with Conquest and partially on the MCOM bit. Hence when you play them, they work better.
