Superb shot ^ one of my favourite posted on this thread in a while Nick Grant said:
Just want to echo Nick's comments - really nice set of work. Love the use of the street in your shots, the texture of the buildings, the road, just feels to cohesive. Great tone to the whole set - even some nice panning! (with a 5D !? )Torquemada said:

A few snaps from a recent business trip to Alaska. linked from FB, so apologies in advance for poor quality.
My transport to Deadhorse. There really is nothing as far as the eye can see behind the plane - flat and featureless for miles!
Friendly local biker with a passing resemblance to Tom Jones
Sunrise from my hotel window in Anchorage.
The highest point in the US (Mount McKinley), taken through a very grubby aircraft window.
View from the office window in Anchorage with some weird colours due to bronze effect windows.
Low flying plane coming into land over a main road. Photo quickly taken from a moving car. Prize for anyone that spots a small car on the roads
Great set John - looks like an unusual, diverse and amazing place My transport to Deadhorse. There really is nothing as far as the eye can see behind the plane - flat and featureless for miles!

Spent a while editing this one yesterday, getting the colours right, and the white balance sorted too, the lighting at the time of taking the photo was awful, the positioning of the car, cramped car park was terrible too, but I tried my best.
Also, some incredible work over the past couple of pages lately!!

Sorry, but I've seen much better from you i'm sure. The selection around the car is quite rough. Around the mirror, spoiler and under the car are still sharp while you've blurred the area around it. And the fact that the car is in focus while objects of equal distance away from the camera are blurred makes it look like you've just pasted the car into a low quality picture. No doubt will change my mind again shortly

It also looks like you've used too much "fill light" if you've processed this from a raw file. Thus giving the car a mild HDR effect.
Blukoo, is this any better?
Sorted out the blur a bit, looks better to me but always happy to hear others opinions

Personally still find the post blur to be distracting - it's in contrast to the very sharp foreground.Sorted out the blur a bit, looks better to me but always happy to hear others opinions
