TVR Tuscan photos
Discussion
Such a fantastic beast of a car......belittled by the beauty and purity of nature on a summers day.
Don't get me wrong, they are good picture imho but i would wager that the rough brown patches of rust on steel girders would complement the shinny curves of the tuscan more.
TVR and soft soaked buttercup yellow do not mix, unless the milka cow is driving!
Now, if the flowers were purple like in the bottom of no.3 then we would be talking about the temptation of Christ. But they are not. They are yellow!
Please forgive me, the pictures are good.

Very good indeed. One suggestion - have you tried sharpening them up a bit? If you have photoshop (I seem to remember you do?) use USM at about 70/0.6/0 and see what that looks like.
Nope - just had time to scan them in and do a quick tweak of levels to boost the contrast, and ran out of time to do any sharpening.
When I get a bit more time to spare though, I'll have a play with different settings, and see how they look!
Thanks for the advice.

I do know what you mean though, and I'm keeping my eyes open for a decent location!
Just had a quick play with USM, and found that settings of 100/2/0 seemed to work quite well, so I've updated the pics.
I don't know if there will be much difference on the web-quality copies though, but the originals do look better.
I've still got a lot to learn with Photoshop though, so will have more of a play when I get a chance.

Crikey! that is a lot of sharpening, I assume that the original files are quite large in size (over 4000px wide?) The pictures look good now, but a good rule for sharpening is that you should only do it at the size that the picture will be used at. This is because the process of re-sizing will lessen the effect of the sharpening that you have done, but often it's not very noticable.
SPOTTED!!!
Ed - was that you at Corley Services (North) on the M6 lastnight about 8pm'ish? (cant quite read the reg on the picture - but looks like ED** TVR).
There were also 2 lotus Europa's parked up on trailers by your car.
I was in my eurobox pug 307.
The GF now wants me to get rid of the 'S' and get a Tuscan after seeing your car!!
Cheers
Chris

Ed, that is unreal!
Considering we were mentioning a drive just for photos we seem to have found the same (more likely similar) location to take pics in!
I too found a gap between a yellow and green field and plonked the car right in the middle and took pics while the sun was low in the sky.
I'll post some up later.

I've not got round to reading the chapter on sharpening in my PS book yet, so will need to read up on that next I think!
