Well Folks. Firstly Happy New Year to you all.
A hard judging competition ensued early this morning. So we had a recount and run through again recently with our partially clear heads on. Six votes each for 9 people which must be put in 3 for first, 2 for second and 1 for third.
Cracking entries this month but as always there has to be a winner and some losers, so opening the golden envelope I'll read the winners in reverse order.
In 3rd Place from Robbie B
The Marshes
Lovely shot Rob. Very peaceful looking and simplistic lines forcing you into the middle of the picture.
In 2nd place (just) from Paul911

Great lines Paul - the stones pull you into the picture and good detail in the shadows. Only comment a couple of us raised - are those little dust spots in the sky ?
But the winner this month and there has to be one, is, drum roll Ladies and Gentlemen.

Black and White works lovely here. Good detail in the shadows and highlights. The contrast between the moody sky and calm water make a nice opposite. Everyone put at least one vote to this one.
Well done Iain. I'd like to pass the baton over to you for this months competition.

Wow! I wasn't expecting to win this month, the standard of the entries for this competition were amazing, I have to say that Paul911's was my personal favourite. Thank you Craig and your panel of judges.
I'll put my thinking cap on and come up with a competition theme for Jan, I just need to have a couple more cups of coffee, still a bit fragile from last night.
