Great pics as per usual. Those B52s and B1-Bs look awesome, I suppose you don't realise how big they are until you stand next to them.

I was going to go today but the weather forecast was rain, rain and yet more rain so I changed my mind. Always Farnborough next week anyway

I was bracing myself for the usual but those are a refreshing change. Do you think it's feasible to retouch the nose of the Hawk?

Hi Simpo

What's the usual?

Not sure what can be done about the nose, the black in front of it is a person just coming into view. I'm not skilled enough to replace the nose with one from another shot. Any thoughts?

Small silhouettes with frozen propellers!

Luckily I'm bored!
Careful use of clone tool, the select b/g and add blue gradient, then blur tool to smooth the edges. There are no doubt cleverer ways to do it, but I don't know them!

Very impressive LB. One of the smaller ones, looked like you just caught it going through the sonic boom with that oval gas stuff round it. Or was it venting stuff?

When the weather is humid, the vortices formed at the wingtips can make contrails. I think that's the answer anyway. Certainly no sonic booms at airshows; they look like this!

Thanks Bilko. There was an incredible amount of moisture in the air, which exagerated any vortices generated when pulling high 'g' turns, the F-16 and F-18 looking the best.

The fastest flypast was by the Jaguar at ultra low level along the runway....almost total silence on approach, and nothing even when directly in front of you, then lots and lots of ear-splitting roar as the sound passes you. I'm guessing just a little less than the sound barrier. Fantastic!

Great shots Luca.

Here are some of mine. Airshows not really my forté, as I can't hold the lens up and move it around quickly, but I tried my new gimball mount out, with some success.
