A piece of junk old 70-300 nikor on a d90 (push pull variant)! ..borrowed as I didnt have my camera with me....Edit:
It was tricky dealing with the nikon, poor af and buttons all in the wrong place BUT Muriwai on a good day for Gannets is like shooting fish in a barrel, almost no skill needed.

curtisl, I'm relatively new to this photography lark but have been interested in wildlife all my life. I am finding that some 'light in the eye' makes a huge difference.
You have captured that in your shots of the tree rat squirrel.I'm sorry I can't really help you beyond that on the technical side.
I don't like the black and white so much.

Popped to Slimbridge today..1st time ive been and only 20mins away !!..with a new lens, Canon 300mm L f/4 is usm ,fitted to a 600D ..
nowhere near as good as the red stag pic above, but these two deer appear in the waste ground behind our flat now and again.
