Dagnabit. Ran out in front of me and I missed them.
Caught them watching me further up the trail.

Lovely shot, I know how difficult they are to get closer to. Seen a few around my way but usually from the car late at night.

Thanks, it was a lucky encounter walking back to the car after a rubbish Kingfisher trip. I was lucky, it stood still for a bit before scarpering.

I have a few that cross my driveway. They wander in and out of the garden. My cat seemed to make friends with one of the fawns.

There's a large plot of land next to our garden that's full of silver birches, they show up there too, maybe I could save on fuel and wait in the garden instead!

Great shots guys. I want to go photography stags. I'll have to Google where to go in the South East. I think it's Ashridge.
Ashridge is two minutes from me.

The deer are pretty use to general public and not to jumpy.

We always used to walkt he dogs on the lead up there because of them. One day we went off the beaten track a little and ended up face to face about ten foot apart from a huge antlered stag.

Early morning is best apparently - Ive always meant to get up there with my camera.

Love this shot, how do you create that frame on the picture? Can it be done simply in Lightroom or is it in another piece of software?

Does this work? Went to a foggy Woburn deer park Sunday and after hunting around finally found some deer!

This morning everything finally came together and I came face to face with a Roe Buck, this fella was not afraid of me one bit (maybe due to my camo and maybe due to him being the boss!!). I sat with him for about 15mins before I retreated and left him alone (he never realised I was a human even on my retreat, I used the tall Oil Seed Rape for cover). These were taken in a field in the middle of nowhere and so this fella is 100% wild and free!! Of 150 photos I took these are possibly my 3 favs but I love the 1st the best.. They maybe aren't perfect but they are a shot I've envisaged for so long that I'm absolutely over the moon to have got them.

No crop in any of these. All shot on a Nikon D610 with a Sigma 150-600 C. Other Exif should be viewable by Flickr link.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you think.
