Yes, but I'd venture to suggest the dial-up guys will struggle. You did the image size but forgot the compression! This is only the internet; you can crush them a lot.

The website I use to upload them compresses them all to less than 250kb I had no trouble them loading before when we were on dialup.

Heh, ironically I'm dial-up now: I can't get a BB connection. At dial-up speed every Mb takes 5 mins to downlaod; hence each 250Kb file is over a minute.
If you look at the 'Traction Engine' thread you'll see you can get pictures double the visual size for less than half the file size. You really don't need anything over 100Kb IMHO; it's just a waste of cyberspace.

Well the jpgs I uploaded in the first place were only approx 300k, at 350 pixels wide - 10cm wide at 72dpi, I can't really get them much smaller unless they go tiny. I've deleted them in that case.

Awww, you didn't need to do that it's just that some people won't get to see them all before they go elsewhere. cm and dpi are for printing; for the net it's pixels and Kb that count - tell you what, bung 'em here and I'll fix them for you

Jpeg quality setting is what you're looking for.

The save for web option in PS is also very handy. Gives you numerous options and also gives and indication of download time too.

Though for me, you can keep putting your lovely pics up however you want. One of the advantages of living in a first world country at the moment (Japan) is that I have a nice T1 line installed

These were only taken with a 6 mil pixels pentax digi camera, with not a huge amount of zoom. Those that look a little out of focus we had to use the full digi zoom on it, so it loses the quality. Right then, I have saved them for web in photoshop, just for all you dialup guys

Its amazing the difference a bit of sun makes on a picture:-

Excellent Mrs Fish and I can actually see the animals without squinting
As I'm finding, sometimes too many megapixels can be a nuisance and you have to do some butchering.

Indeed it is. We stayed at the Mara Bush Camp about a half hour to 45 minute drive from Little Governers.
