Took these at the Gumball 3000 event in Edinburgh. First time properly shooting in the night so would really appreciate any feedback about the night photos & how to improve them?

Didn't get a chance to get too up close in the night due to lots of security present but went early the next day & was able to get a bit closer to the cars but had to rush because the rain came pouring down censored

Any other feedback is more than welcome, album is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/_something_creative_...

That's amazing!

I hate being thick.
What he hasn't shown you is that before they swapped the wheels for the trial fit this was actually a khaki coloured Austin Allegro.

Estate.

Brown nylon interior.

(I'll apologise now to those of a sensitive disposition who may have been mentally scarred for life by the image that may have brought to mind.)

wink
Do you mean something like this:

Aaargh!

Close enough. Not quite an Estate.

Iirc there was a "chocolate" brown colour used for one year.

Great panning shots, especially the civic nose to bumper shot.

Any tips for a newbie?

Make your shutter speed the same as its mph if moving with subject - and then lower from there...at your peril. Jon can comment on his super crisp static position panning shots technique! I suspect it will also include 'ditch all the soft shots' - as we all get them wink
