Great pic, very clear, how did you post it up as there is no Thumbsnap logo, I'm assuming through Thumbsnap, as mine are posted up, the quality drops?

It's hosted on Flikr - https :// live. staticflickr. com/65535/52656071262_16e7770be4_b. jpg (i've added the spaces in order to demo the url.

As you've got a 6 Pro, you should be able to use Google photos If you quote all, you'll see the code, e.g.

Sorry, not sure what you mean, I'm a bit crap with this kind of thing, you mention "Google photos" and "quote all"?

If I "quote all" I get a long load of text, in ref to the photo of the sheep, assuming this is what you mean, however how do I get that text?

The camera side of the phone was impressive. Quite a surprise, even given the talk I'd been to last night. Stills and video of high quality, and with more lenses on display than Specsavers. I'd like one, there's no doubt about that, but the price is prohibitive for me. I'd love to spend >£40 extra a month on my mirrorless set-up, but that's nigh on £5kpa. And nigh on a divorce. Hmmm.
£40 a month is £480 per annum not five grand!

On Google Photos on desktop, go to the photo you want to show, then right click on the image, and from the pop up box, click on 'Copy image address', then when you're composing your post on Pistonheads, paste the long load of text in between img tags;

e.g. [img] long load of text [/img]

Does it have to be on a normal PC, I've done all this on my tablet, long press on the image but don't get "copy image address" I get the whole wall of text at the top of the available options but I'm unable to copy it?

Nope, on a tablet it's even easier, just use the 'Upload an image (beta)' link;

Click on it, choose your photo, then click 'Upload'

I've been doing that, this is the Thumbsnap thing and reduction of quality that I want to get away from!

In that case, it's not easy, Google makes it difficult to directly embed photos. You could add them to a free flikr account and share via flikr?

I must be missing something here because when you click and zoom on Thumbsnap images you get much higher quality. e.g. Downloading NDA's lovely Flickr dog pic gives me a 148kB 0.8MP image. Download RDMcG's cactus sunset and you get a 78kB 0.3MP image, however click/zoom on the same image and then download gives me a much sharper 1.8MB 7.5MP image.

Note you get the larger image without downloading, I just needed to do so to check the image size.

You learn something everyday, inspecting HTP99's Swan gives the following;

Rendered size: 1139 × 857 px
Rendered aspect ratio: 1139∶857
Intrinsic size: 3840 × 2891 px
Intrinsic aspect ratio: 3840∶2891
File size: 1.3 MB
Current source: https://thumbsnap.com/i/FUQ3iFWA.jpg?0207

Whereas my sheep photo uploaded directly from Google is;

Rendered size: 984 × 740 px
Rendered aspect ratio: 246∶185
Intrinsic size: 1298 × 977 px
Intrinsic aspect ratio: 1298∶977
File size: 544 kB

Sunset image lasted for about two minutes in my back yard last evening, just turned around in the kitchen and grabbed my iPhone 14Pro.

If you go into the app and long press on the image you want you will see a share button appear at the top of the screen which looks like a dot splitting into 2 dots. You'll get an option to create link and the you can copy it and should just put it into the img tags.

Nope, the link doesn't show the picture, it does go to it if pressed on but doesn't display the picture on the post.

And then ends up going into all my other pics on Google.
