Thanks, and no pp. That's a whole different thing I need to look at. I have a very old version of Photoshop. I'll have a look at what you mentioned.
If you're going to get 'serious' about your photography it's probably worth investing in PS Elements - there are always deals around and you shouldn't have to spend any more than £40/£50 Did it come with any Nikon supplied software? If so that may also be a useful place to start with Post Processing activity.
Your always saying foreground interest is important in a photo, and I agree entirely.. So I used what I could:

Its nothing special, came across this church whilst out driving at night. Taken with an LX7, I really need to learn how to use this camera to its potential.

Happy new year all, I've not had chance to shoot many landscapes recently, I've moved house, done a load of commercial and pro bono charity work and not much of my own! Looking forward to my highlands trip leaving on the 13th
Looking forward to another year of amazing photos from everyone on here.

My camera didn't come out much unless it was for work but this year I want to get more shots for me, plenty more landscapes I hope.
I look forward to seeing plenty more amazing shots on here through 2014.
