My partner found out her work conference is around loch lomond this year in June.

I was already planning the trip up, driving, photography it was going to be epic. I have always wanted to have a photographic trip to scotland.

Turns out it is the week before the end of the summer term. Bummer.

Out of interest, Mid April to early June are when the Highlands generally look their best. It normally rains in July / August (which is when everyone turns up and complains about the weather & midges)

I like that.

Has anyone seen the specs of the new Pentax 645Z? Looks like it would make an awesome landscape camera.

I am tempted to chuck my Canon and MFD gear in for one, it looks like it would make a perfect all rounder.

Thanks Mark,

The 645Z looks like it's going to be awesome, probably would be getting one if I hadn't just bought a new car. Fingers crossed for a decent payrise this year!

The price is very good considering what you are getting.

Wouldnt the linhof technocarian be better though?

The 645z is nice, only $8500 too (£6k or something?) but not a technical camera.

And TBH the sensor is only a bit bigger than 35mm.

I've got a Technikardan! That would be the only thing, currently I pop my Leaf back off the Mamiya and it goes straight onto the Linhof, I'd lose that.
