Knowing that I have nothing on you with Scottish landscapes I thought I'll stick to my fortes: fisheye and animals

I could use some advice on processing this image...first time trying this kind of framed shot with the night sky and I have seen some great images of this type on here.

So I was working in the garden today and I spotted an insect I'd never seen before. I thought it was a bee at first but it had some gargantuan spike coming out of its face. I grabbed my gear and tried to photograph it and that was at 12:00ish this afternoon. Several hours, 1 freshly charged 5D battery, my flash gun's batteries and the health of the small of my back later and I got the shot I wanted. Google says it's a Bombyliidae or a "Beefly". Right, I'm off to nurse my spine and charge all my camera gear .

Like that one. Langdale is always good for a cloud shadows shot.Great Langdale by jcross70, on Flickr

Cracking photo, well done. I'm still convincing myself I need to get up, early to use the golden hour, let alone put myself through what you did in the name of photography RobbieKB said:
