Thanks - nice work yourself (btw - do you go running with a camera + tripod ?!)
The previous shot I took on what I thought was a derelict wooden jetty - but when I returned after half an hour to collect the camera I realised it was actually more like a floating pontoon and although it was flat calm I think it may have been moving very gently. Either that or the bridge itself was moving a bit. Anyhoo I was pleased enough as it was pitch black and scrambling about over frosty rocks + seaweed was a bit iffy to say the least

Believe it or not I do run with a tripod! I'm not too shaky but even I can't manage a 4 second exposure It's about 4" long, with three bendy legs. Fits easily into my back pocket. It is is rubbish tbh but it does the job of holding the camera still and off the ground for long exposures.....and it fits in a small pocket. I may have actually got it in a Christmas cracker
Another effort.....I know you've already seen it Mike, thanks for the thumbs up

It's the Going to the sun road in Montana, a fairly spectacular little road that's only open a few months a year due to snow clearance issues. Ideally I'd have taken longer waiting for better light but as usual we were traveling through.
When I first saw pictures of it a lot of them looked really scary, but compared to a lot of the roads in europe it's nothing to worry about as it's more than one car wide and the drops have barriers!
sounds good! I dont mind scary roads, skippers canyon in a few weeks..

Are you taking the MX5? One of my colleagues when I worked down that way took his MkI MX5, he has a picture of it parked at Skippers next to Otago 4WD club. I took my Legacy without any real problems, it's just slow going. I've fired up the time machine again...
