Both this and the previous were well worth freezing for IMO.

Very well executed.

Bravo.

Vases and flowers are not my normal cup of tea at all but this and your previous shot are stand outs among the exceptions I see from time to time that really appeal to me. Great subject designs and very well executed shots.

Thanks for sharing them.

I will pass your much appreciated comments on to my wife, it's her that sets up this sort of thing. It wouldn't have occurred to me to put that feather in, for example. We do this stuff because the scenery in my area isn't up to much and also because table top photography is very controllable, especially from the lighting point of view.

It's quite time consuming though, we can reckon to take about 4 hours on average to get a shot like that.

Sounds like a long time BUT if you consider how much time it probably takes people to get to and from a decent landscape opportunity, where they may well only feel they have a single shot worthy of the effort, then it's not so bad?

Well worth the time spent in my opinion.

Some great stuff on this page gents (and ladies?) Chris, love the shot above this post, is that the milky way?

A couple of fox shots in the snow, i love photographing animals in the snow, brings out all the details in their fur!
